- This card can be searched via "Sangan", "Giant Rat", "Warrior Lady of the Wasteland" and "Reinforcement of the Army".
- Equipping any Equip Cards to "Obnoxious Celtic Guard" that raises it's ATK to 1900+ will prevent him from being destroyed in battle. Another option is using the continuous magic "Stumbling" to summon him in defense mode and afterwards you can equip "Horn of Light" to raise his DEF to 2000.
- This card is ideal in a defensive combination with "Shield Warrior" and "Spirit Force".
- Use the field spell "Gaia Power" with this card to ensure him from being destroyed by battle.
- If your opponent attempts to swarm the field with strong monsters, try using "Patrician of Darkness" to block their attacks by forcing those monsters to attack him. Alternatively, equip "Raregold Armor" to him.
- Equip this card with "Fusion Sword Murasame Blade" to raise its attack to 2200. In addition to the great +800 ATK, your opponent cannot destroy it with effects that destroy Spell Cards, making the only way to destroy "Obnoxious Celtic Guard" by targeting it with a monster-destroying effect.
- For ulitmate defense...combine Obnoxious Celtic Guard with Gaia Power AND Spirit Barrier. No chance of being destroyed...and no life point damage!!
