Unique Properties
- This is the only legal OCG card without a password in any medium that is not a DIVINE monster or the Normal version of a Ritual Monster.
- This is also one of the two only legal cards first appearing after 2003 to not have a password, printed or coded to a video game, the other one being The Winged Dragon of Ra - Sphere Mode.
Misc.
- This monster is an alternate Xyz version of "Dark Magician Girl".
- This card's artwork is based on the anniversary artwork of "Dark Magician". Both were also drawn by Kazuki Takahashi.
- In both artworks, Takahashi redrew the monsters with darker colors and outfits. He also used a more realistic, flesh-like style.
- According to the Duel Art artbook by Kazuki Takahashi, this card's artwork was originally intended to be simply another artwork of "Dark Magician Girl", as a female counterpart to the anniversary artwork of "Dark Magician".
- This card is also the female counterpart of "Ebon Illusion Magician".
- Fittingly, this card can be used as Xyz Material to Xyz Summon "Ebon Illusion Magician" with its effect.
- This card's artwork is based on the anniversary artwork of "Dark Magician". Both were also drawn by Kazuki Takahashi.
- An ankh appears on this monster's chest.
- This is a reference to this card's effect of targeting a monster in the opponent's Graveyard and Special Summon it, as well as the effect of "Monster Reborn".
- This monster's name and appearance is a reference to gyaru, a Japanese fashion style with an emphasis on elements viewed as "foreign" by the Japanese, most notably heavy makeup and bleached/dyed hair.
- The letters on the circle that appears in this card's artwork are a combination of Cyrillic and Greek.
