So, we haven't had one of these in a while, we meant to do one after New Year's, but ended up taking a long break. Sorry about that! Anyway, we decided to create a contest where you guys can take older decks and make them viable again! Think of it, a deck people think isn't very good, but then you give that deck new life! Viva la decks! Viva la YGO!

Anyway, below are the decks you can pick!

Guidelines

  • All OCG and TCG are fine, as long as it has an effect.
  • This contest will be in March 1st, 2012 Banlist.
  • You may not add/remove any decks from the Registration Area.
  • You will be given maybe 1 day if you are late to post, after that, you're out.
  • The deck post up date is March 5th, 2012.

Registration

We will accept 2 contestants per deck.

Iron Chain

Alright, this is a more or less standard Iron Chain Aggro Deck, based around summoning Iron Chain Dragon and winning battles via buffing or debuffing, and milling the Deck since it has more opportunities to inflict battle damage.

So, most of the monsters here make a 3+3 combo. This either tunes finely into Iron Chain Dragon, or overlays well into the Rank 3 Xyz monsters. Number 17: Leviathan Dragon is a standard beatstick, while Number 20: Giga-Brilliant can buff Iron Chain Dragon to 2800 at first summon, letting it tie with many infamous beatsticks. Gachi Gachi Gantetsu can be Xyz'd off loose Needle Worms and Jars, while also providing a decent buffing wall for Dragon to kick ass with. If push comes to shove, the other Synchro and Xyz monsters can be pulled out to tackle different situations.

The Spell and Trap lineup is more or less standard, though Shackles of the Underworld plays a big part here. Since it slices the equipped monster's ATK and DEF to 100, it allows me to take care of anything that would be otherwise too big for my monsters. This would be far more effective than stacking several Iron Chain Snakes on it, though not as satisfying since I don't get an enormous mill out of this. Anything goes.

Bring out the beater, buff, debuff, and beat the crap out of the opponent's LP. Or tear their Deck to shreds, if they're that resilient. Simple. Nothing more to this Deck. --Gadjiltron (talkcontribs) 15:10, March 3, 2012 (UTC)
