- In the anime, "Granadora" is called "Swallowtail Spike Lizard". Instead of its TCG effect it had a different one: as long as it remained on the field face-up in Defense Position, its controller received 1000 Life Points during each of her/his Standby Phases. In addition, when this card is seen in Marik's hand during episode 141, it has a far more colorful artwork and is a DARK-monster.
- This card was used by Marik in the Battle City tournament final against Yugi. Marik would later Tribute it in order to increase the ATK of his "The Winged Dragon of Ra".
