  • Since this card is a WATER monster, it is ideal to use with "Salvage".
  • This is a prime candidate for "Hardened Armed Dragon's" protective effect. Along with gaining a high original ATK, it will also gain immunity from destruction effects.
    • For the best effect, you can discard one of the "Earthbound Immortals" to Special Summon "Hardened Armed Dragon", bring it back with "Revival of the Immortals", and then Tribute them both for Neptune. On top of having at least 4000 ATK and all of the Tributed "Earthbound Immortal's" effects (most notably the Direct Attack effect), it will be effectively invincible, since card effects won't be able to destroy it and your opponent won't be able to attack it. Only effects that remove a card from the field or flip it face-down will be effective against it. To prevent this, you can use "Earthbound Wave" because this card's name will be treated as that of the "Earthbound Immortal" monster.
    • In fact, Tributing "Hardened Armed Dragon" with any powerful monster with a self, destruction effect would be a great benefit. Another good candidate to go with "Hardened Armed Dragon" is "Koa'ki Meiru Maximus"; 4500 ATK, destroy 1 card per turn, and some added compatibility with "Koa'ki Meiru" support due to having "Maximus's" name, all without paying its cost.
    • To get maximum power try "Greed Quasar" and "Hardened Armed Dragon". This means that each time "The Tyrant Neptune" attacks it will grow stronger making it more and more difficult as the turns go on.
  • By tributing "Twin-Sword Marauder" you get a monster who can attack twice per Battle Phase if it attacked a Defense Position monster and that can inflict Piercing Damage.
  • Tribute "Fenrir" to allow this card to destroy even high ATK monsters and force your opponent to skip a Draw Phase in the process.
  • Tribute "Light and Darkness Dragon" and one more monster with respectable ATK and DEF to use the "Light and Darkness Dragon's" effect more.
    • Example: Tribute a "Light and Darkness Dragon" and a "Jinzo" for it to gain 5200 ATK and 3900 DEF, which you can use the Light and Darkness Dragon's effect up to 7 times.
  • No matter what monsters are Tributed for this monster, it will always benefit from being equipped with "Unstable Evolution". If your opponent's Life Points are higher, its original ATK becomes 2400, then it gains the ATK and DEF of the Tributed monsters. If your opponent's Life Points are lower, its original ATK is 1000, and it still gains the ATK and DEF of the Tributed monsters. Either way, it gains a substantial amount of ATK just by being equipped.
  • You can Tribute a "Fortune Lady Dark" for this card then copy her effect. That way you will have a 4000 ATK monster that gets stronger each turn.
  • Tribute "Strong Wind Dragon" for this card. It would have an ATK of 2400 + ATK of other monster if any + 1200 or half the ATK of other monster if it's a Dragon. Plus it would have a piercing effect and won't be destroyed in battle by an equal (few monsters would happed to have it's specific ATK, but cards like "Copycat" and "Physical Double" won't work).
    • Tribute "Five-Headed Dragon" as the other monster for an insane 8700 ATK beatstick that pierces. Attack a defense monster and activate "Micro Ray" for an OTK.
  • By adding the effects of "Victory Viper XX03" to a monster with good ATK, you can create a powerful Option Token.
  • Tribute "Vennominaga the Deity of Poisonous Snakes" since "The Tyrant Neptune's" attack is not limited to original attack, plus gaining "Vennominaga's" ability to boost its attack and win the duel, along with blanket effect immunity.
  • A good Idea for this card is to tribute a strong level four monster with a negative effect, like "Goblin Attack Force" or "Chainsaw Insect", and choosing the other monster as the effect, giving you a massive attack boost.
