Featured Duel

The Featured Duel section should only have information directly pertaining to the Duel. Another character coming in and talking does not belong in that section (unless there is no Summary section, in which case it's better to list it in the wrong place than not at all. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 22:58, May 7, 2011 (UTC)

Notes

We do not list ways a character could have won when they lost. We document what happened, not what could have happened. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 09:06, July 3, 2011 (UTC)

Don't worry about it. Not a big deal. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 20:51, July 3, 2011 (UTC)

Appearances pages

By definition, these pages talk about cards that use their anime/manga effects. Noting the differences on that page isn't really needed. It should be noted on the actual card articles using the "animelore" and "mangalore" parameters and in the episode and chapter articles via the Notes section. They do not need to be added there as well. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 23:08, July 5, 2011 (UTC)

Okay got it, but that doesn't explain why in some other card appearances they explain some slight differences between the anime effect and the real effect.

Because other people added them and they should not have. If you find something like that, it would be helpful to just remove it. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 00:08, July 6, 2011 (UTC)

All right I will if I see it, but I need to know how to write the effect down without explaining differences. I don't want to make the same mistake twice in a row.

Check the card's main article. In most cases, you can check the animelore parameter there and compare it the regular lore. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 00:18, July 6, 2011 (UTC)

Actually I meant the appearances pages in my previous question. How should I write anime/manga effects there without noting any differences?

I meant that you should use what's listed in the animelore parameter as a base so that you don't mess up the effect on the appearances page. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 00:22, July 6, 2011 (UTC)

Okay now I what to do. Thanks for the info! Now I know where to write the effects on cards down if they used different effects in the anime and/or manga. I have only one last question. If there is any other stat differences like atk, def, level, or type, then should it be written in the appearances pages since there is no room for that on the card itself.

Re:About your Edit to Yusei Fudo

It's very, very trivial. It shouldn't be mentioned, because if someone reads the article, they will come to that same conclusion themselves. Being 100% true does not make it notable. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 04:28, July 23, 2011 (UTC)

Okay, but I know that is true because I have watched each Yu-Gi-Oh! anime so far except the first series. There is nothing that is in Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's that shows or proves that any other girl shown besides Akiza has feelings for Yusei. I don't know where I should put that since trivia seemed like the only place to put it since trivia says something that is pointed out that few people will not see or notice. I put the trivia about Paradox and Sherry and although I understand the reason why you removed the trivia I added on the Sherry page, You kept the trivia about Paradox despite that the two trivias I put in there are 100% true since I had read the some of the other pages before putting that there. The trivia I wrote on the Yusei Fudo page was not a theory or hypothesis because you claim that people will easily believe theories or hypotheses even before a full conclusion has been pointed out to remove any claims to the guesses. Cardsknower (talkcontribs) 04:50, July 23, 2011 (UTC)Cardsknower

Again, being true doesn't mean it should be in the article. There's also the fact that romantic information in general is very ambiguous in YGO. There are rarely any actual declarations of love. Yusei and Aki did not have such a specification. Tons of subtext and implied interest, but no confirmation, so I'm not even sure you can call it true to begin with. If you want to re-add it, go ahead. I'll leave it in. I don't care about the issue enough to make a big deal out of it. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 04:54, July 23, 2011 (UTC)

I already tried re-adding it in, but PoirotH removed it because he thinks it is pointless despite the fact that you said I am free to re-add it in. I can't re-add the information back in unless I can have him convinced that it shouldn't be pointless since there is nothing right now that proves the information I wrote on that page is pointless. Cardsknower (talkcontribs) 05:10, July 23, 2011 (UTC)Cardsknower

I said you could re-add it and I would not delete it. I cannot speak for any other user. Take it up with him on his talk page if you wish to. Link him to this conversation if you want. I'm really indifferent at this point. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 05:15, July 23, 2011 (UTC)

Hello new friend

Hi.I think we should get to know each other.I am MekHunterG5,but you can call me Mek,

Hello Mek, it is nice to meet you. I having been editing this for only a few months, but mostly I am just editing the grammar errors in the pages of this wiki. I can barely do edits now due to the homework I am getting from school, so I only edit when I have time Cardsknower (talkcontribs) 00:26, October 21, 2011 (UTC)Cardsknower

Problem Solved Lores

Thank you for trying to help us with couple article in the old, but as Dino said, we should following the printed lore that is published or at least closer to official translation (if it's Japan or have Anime image) that is posted. We can updating them when they are released in correct printed lore. If they are not release, then we can't put it up. --FredCat 18:54, February 26, 2012 (UTC)

Call of the Haunted in DK

I am sure you're right, I still see that image of bone-face duelist played that and many of his non-zombie monsters kept returning to the field with powerful Attack points while against Joey Wheeler. But I am sure it was Trap card... if you think I am wrong, please explain ;-) --FredCat 23:58, April 16, 2012 (UTC)

We're both right somewhat. Yes, it is a Trap Card in the anime, but only in GX, 5D's, and ZEXAL. It was shown as a Spell Card in the Japanese version of the second series anime although in the English anime it is shown as a Trap Card which is what the TCG/OCG version is supposed to be. Cardsknower (talkcontribs) 00:06, April 17, 2012 (UTC)Cardsknower

You're make a good point - I kept forgot that 4kids redesigned and colored them to correct frame as real life cards... Second Season of Duel Monster is quite messy with all those cards release... But can't fault you for that part. It's Writer's decide to make it following the Manga version, only less violence. --FredCat 00:07, April 17, 2012 (UTC)

To clear that up...

Saw your recent edit summaries. If you add cards to lists that only appear in the dub, please put "dub only" in parenthesis behind them. They can also be listed on the card appearances pages, but do not add them as episode appearances to the main card articles. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 00:13, May 2, 2012 (UTC)

Got it and I watched the original episode and the two I added are the only dub only cards on the table. Every other card on the table was in both versions, but I had to watch real carefully in the episode to be sure.Cardsknower (talkcontribs) 00:31, May 2, 2012 (UTC)Cardsknower

RE:Decklists and Featured Cards for the second series anime episodes

As much as I can help you, I will do it at Summer time. If you know me well, I spend my free time uploading and updating Yu-Gi-Oh! GX anime cards, since most of them need to be in good quality and people sometime need to see the japanese effect, in order to understand the card. If I help you right now, then most of my free time is gone. WinterNightmare (talkcontribs) 18:17, May 12, 2012 (UTC)

Mirror Gate Eff in Anime/OCG

I believed you for that - only because Anime just break the game itself. So it's such to be happening, and you should post it there and explain in the summary that it is there. It's not hard work if you used that method I gave. --iFredCat 16:24, May 26, 2012 (UTC)

Also, This was already explained. Hope that helps. --iFredCat 16:28, May 26, 2012 (UTC)

5D's Decklists

Hey, Cardsknower. Not sure if you know or not, but while you're doing the 5D's Decklists, update the Decklist template too. We're now using |effect monsters = instead of Effect Monsters. Likewise for any other type of monster and all types are supported, including Tuners, Spirits, etc. Also, if a card isn't used but appears in someone's hand or is Set, the best thing to do is add that to the Featured Duel as well. At the point that hand shot is shown, write "X's hand contains", then the cards. Thanks, Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 00:06, July 22, 2012 (UTC)

Oh, and I've started adding Featured cards sections, but I'm going backwards. I started with the later episodes. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 01:36, July 24, 2012 (UTC)

Drawn cards

Only mention when a card is drawn when it explicitly shown. The same goes for Setting cards. Don't say what it is unless it shown at that moment. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 17:02, July 27, 2012 (UTC)

Okay got it. I am going to check episodes 4, 5, and 6 to see if I miss any shown cards in the featured Duels when I have enough free time.Cardsknower (talkcontribs) 17:28, July 27, 2012 (UTC)Cardsknower

RE: "Curse of Rose's" name

The English dub of this episode has Akiza saying to Commander Koda before "Curse of Rose" activates: "Nice move, but I still have my Trap: 'Rose Curse'!"

It may have been dubbed incorrectly, but that is why I edited that page as such. --1exodiafan1 (talkcontribs) 04:21, August 14, 2012 (UTC)1exodiafan1

Anime Lore

I am agreeing with you - Kaiba only using it, not both players. So let's hope he listened to our responds - I did comment after you post it, which show that I supported your logical. --iFredCat 00:06, September 8, 2012 (UTC)
