• This monster is based off of the concept of a solar sail, a form of spacecraft propulsion that uses the powerful electromagnetic emissions of the Sun to push a spaceship, similar to a regular sail on Earth.

• This monster could also be inspired by the classic role-playing game Spelljammer, in which ships sail the stars using magic, or the animated movie Treasure Planet, a fantasy/steampunk version of the classic book Treasure Island where solar sails literally use the sun to sail across space.

• This monster may draw influence from the science fiction short story Sunjammer by English author Arthur C. Clarke.

• This card appears in the artwork of "Tannhauser Gate".

• This card has similiar effects to "Cyber Dragon" and "Vice Dragon".
  • Like both, it can be Special Summoned when one controls no monsters.
  • Like "Cyber Dragon", it is a LIGHT Machine-Type monster.
  • Like "Vice Dragon", it is ATK and DEF are halved when it is Special Summoned via its own effect.
