One question. It says that you need "1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner Spellcaster-Type monsters". Does this mean the Tuner monster has to be a Spellcaster too? RedDrgn 19:53, 25 May 2009 (UTC)

Tin set[edit]

In what Tin set can I find this card? I have the assault mode but don't have the Synchro Arcanite Magician card.

Gender reckless the French Name...[edit]

One unregistered user said that this card's French Name proved that spellcaster is male, how can we confirmed that? And sorry, it's old habit of mine, if you want me to question that in Forum, just shoot me and move on... --FredCat100 (talkcontribs) 21:59, August 12, 2010 (UTC)

I think what they were saying is that in French there are two words for "magician"; "magicien" and "magicienne". The first one is used for male magicians and the second is used for female magicians. Since the male word is used in the name, they're inferring that the card is male. -- Deltaneos (talk) 15:56, August 13, 2010 (UTC)
Alright... then why is that monster have couple of feminine traits; hourglass hip and smooth chin, if that's male name? As for all spellcasters (though male or female) were calling wizards in some movies. --FredCat His litterFR 16:47, August 14, 2010 (UTC)

Ok look the white cloak gives a false impression. Assault mode's legs are visible and come from the waist. No Hips.Arcane Kuriboh (talkcontribs) 04:46, August 25, 2010 (UTC)

Personaly, I'm glad that it is a male. Its one of my favorite card. I just wish there was a way to confirm this...--Scourge The Hedgehog (talkcontribs) 02:09, February 11, 2013 (UTC)

I think Arcanite is a male, and I'm kind of annoyed that /Assault Mode version is placed under the female tag. When you look to female cards you can clearly see that the artists focus on hands (such as Silent Magician and St. Joan whose genders was a topic of debate back in the day) are drawn in a very feminine fashion to avoid people thinking they were male. What do you guys think? 95.8.162.254 (talk) 17:56, January 17, 2013 (UTC)

Knight Archetype?[edit]

I'm seeing the Arcanite family listed under the Knight archetype. Surely that can't be the case.--Azul120 (talkcontribs) 04:38, September 18, 2013 (UTC)

"ナイト" = Knight, Night or Nite. There is no difference in the Japanese. Unintended or not, they are members. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 14:59, September 18, 2013 (UTC)

Male or Female?[edit]

There's an user claiming Arcanite is male. Does anyone have an evidence it's either male or female? Personally, I'd say it's female, given the chest size and the facial expression. Any thoughts? You can check all pictures of it here and at the cards mentioned at its trivia page.. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 22:23, May 23, 2016 (UTC) —Last edited at 22:30, May 23, 2016 (UTC).

There's nothing definitive about it. It's not uncommon for guys to have small frames, and their clothing here doesn't indicate anything. Female monsters have had the sole name of "Magician" before (as opposed to "Magician Girl"), such as "Nobledragon Magician". Just remove the female tag, and refer to them in the trivia page as "it" or "they." --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 22:35, May 23, 2016 (UTC)
Fair enough. I just thought there was some evidence about it, due to this edit. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 22:38, May 23, 2016 (UTC)
