Card Tips:Reverse Trap
- Use this card with a low ATK Zombyra the Dark. Whenever it destroys a monster, it loses 200 ATK. You can make it gain 200 ATK for one turn instead and give your opponent a nice surprise. This combo is also good with Flash Assailant, Boar Soldier, and Nuvia the Wicked.
- This card allows you to take advantage Ring of Magnetism, Twin Swords of Flashing Light - Tryce, and Shooting Star Bow - Ceal. This can potentially cause massive damage if both cards are equipped to Armed Samurai - Ben Kei, as not only does he get at least 3 attacks, he now gains 1500 ATK and can attack directly.
- This card is useful for defeating monsters such as Elemental Hero Electrum, Shadow Ghoul, and Golden Homunculus.
- Activate before attacking a Blackwing monster if you know your opponent uses Blackwing - Kalut the Moon Shadow.
- By equipping Twin Swords of Flashing Light - Tryce and Shooting Star Bow - Ceal to Blue-Eyes White Dragon and activating "Reverse Trap", "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" gains 1500 ATK and can attack directly twice in a row.
- When attacking a LIGHT monster in Attack Position, or when your opponent attacks your monster with a LIGHT monster that has less ATK than yours, activate this card during the Battle Step, so if they chain Honest, their monster will lose ATK instead.
- Consider using this with cards that reduce their ATK, such as Light End Dragon, Dark End Dragon, or Black-Winged Dragon. This card also works well with Trust Guardian.
- You can use this card with Venom Swamp so monsters gain 500 ATK for each counter rather than lose it.
- Use this card with Black-Winged Dragon so for 1 turn it gains 700 ATK for each counter on it.
- For one turn, this card can throw a monkey wrench on your opponent's strategy that relies on either greatly increasing their own monster's ATK/DEF (Harpie Lady 1, Mage Power, etc.) or severely lowering your ATK/DEF (Burden of the Mighty, Ultimate Insect LV7, etc.).
- After your Light and Darkness Dragon has run out of ATK and DEF to negate cards, use Reverse Trap (preferably when an opponent's monster attacks it) to have it gain back the ATK and DEF it's lost, and also be able to negate cards again.
