- This card can be searched by "Armed Dragon Thunder LV7", "Armed Dragon Blitz", "Ojamatch", "Chaos Space", "Return of the Monarchs", "Eclipse Wyvern", "Mikazukinoyaiba, the Moon Fang Dragon", "Starliege Seyfert", "Bystial Magnamhut", "Giltia the D. Knight - Soul Spear", "Tempest, Dragon Ruler of Storms", "Draconnection", "Dharc the Dark Charmer, Gloomy", "Chaos Zone", "Dwarf Star Dragon Planeter", "Magical Contract Door", "Witch of the Black Forest", and other generic searchers.
- This card can be very useful in a "Disaster Dragon" Deck, since "Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon" and "Genesis Dragon" can manipulate the Graveyard by Special Summoning monsters or moving them around, which makes setting up the Special Summoning requirement of "Dark Armed Dragon" easier.
- Discard a Level 5 or higher DARK monster to Special Summon "Dark Grepher", then activate its effect, discarding a DARK monster to send another from the Deck to your Graveyard, thus setting the requirement to Summon this card immediately.
- Use cards that can move away monsters from the GY if there are too many, such as "Bazoo the Soul-Eater", "Daigusto Emeral", "Pot of Avarice", or "The Beginning of the End".
- Use "Dark Crusader" to send DARK monsters from the hand to the Graveyard to use for the effect of this card or setup its Summon.
- Discard 3 DARK monsters to Special Summon "Montage Dragon", and then Special Summon this card. If high-Level monsters are discarded such that "Montage Dragon" has at least 5200 ATK, then this can create an OTK after it clears the opponent's field.
- Use "A Wingbeat of Giant Dragon" to return this card to the hand and destroy all Spell and Trap Cards, then Special Summon this card again and use its effects to destroy the opponent's monsters.
- Use cards like "Burial from a Different Dimension" or "Pot of Acquisitiveness" to reload the GY with banished DARK monsters and destroy more cards.
Traditional Format[edit]
- Banish DARK monsters from the Graveyard with the effect of this card, then Special Summon them with "Return from the Different Dimension" or "Dimension Fusion".
- This card plays well with both effects of "Lavalval Chain".
