"Bugroth" is a series of monsters that appear to be based on the "WarMECHs" from the first Final Fantasy game.

Each Bugroth is an upgrade of the prior, however the English card text of "Ground Attacker Bugroth" mistakenly states that it used to be "Amphibious Bugroth", whereas the Japanese indicates that it will go on to become it.
