- In the anime, this card resided in the Graveyard. It was seen during the Shadow Duel between Yami Yugi and Yami Bakura.
- Panik then used this card in his duel against Yami Yugi. He used its effect to destroy one of Yugi's face-down cards, thinking it's the Swords of Revealing Light, but it turns out to be Spellbinding Circle. The Trap Card redirected one of Panik's attacks towards the Reaper, destroying it. In the anime, it targets Spell Cards instead of Trap Cards and is not a flip effect. This might have been the inspiration for the card Spirit Reaper, that has similar looks and symbolism and is destroyed automatically when targeted by an effect.
