• Discard "Thunder Dragon" to get a LIGHT Monster into the Graveyard. You will also gain 2 cards in hand.

• Use "Foolish Burial" to get LIGHT or DARK monsters into the Graveyard.

• As a Warrior-type LIGHT monster, this card can be recycled with "Beckoning Light" and "The Warrior Returning Alive".
  • Use "Foolish Burial", "Card Trooper", "Magical Merchant" and similar cards to send it to the Graveyard and retrieve it easily from there.

• Use "Honest" when attacking your opponent's first and most powerful Monster, then use the boosted ATK to crush your opponent's life points.

• "Armageddon Knight" works with this card.

• Fairly easy cards to dump to the grave such as "D.D. Crow", "Kuriboh", "Effect Veiler" or "Hanewata" can be used to help summon this quickly.

• Use "Summoner Monk"'s effect to Special Summon any Level 4 LIGHT Monster by Discarding any Spell Card from your hand. Then Xyz Summon "Lavalval Chain" using "Summoner Monk" and Level 4 LIGHT Monster. Activate "Lavalval Chain"'s effect to place "Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning" to top of your Deck. Later on, you can remove from play your "Summoner Monk" DARK and LIGHT Monster to Special Summon "Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning".

• Equip "Armory Arm" to this card to inflict damage every time this card destroys a monster and raise its attack to 4000. If your opponent controls an Attack Position monster that hasn't modified its original ATK, destroying it in battle will always cause 4000 damage (difference in ATK + "Armory Arm"'s damage). If your opponent controls 2 (or more) Attack Position monsters that fit this condition OR controls only 1 Attack Position monster (so your second attack can be a Direct Attack), the ability to attacking twice of this card can perform an OTK.

• "Magical Merchant" with "Tsukuyomi" Lock and "Pot of Avarice" also makes it easy to dump Light and Dark into the Graveyard.

• this card's double attack will be more devastating and usually do lots of damage. the banishment effect is usually safer to use though. use double attack to maximize damage but use banishment in high danger situations. when deciding whether to use this card's banishment effect or its double attack effect, consider:
  • does the opponent have a lot of face down cards?
  • will your opponent chain to the effect with "Effect Veiler"?
  • does your opponent have anything that will stop the attack?

• You can use the first effect to prevent cards such as "Sangan" or "Dandylion" from activating their effects.

• If Your opponent already have monsters on field Summon Tour Guide From the Underworld and Special Summon any Level 3 or lower Fiend monster and overlay to XYZ Summon Number 20: Giga-Brilliant and activate a card such as Dark Hole or Torrential Tribute

Traditional Format

• Use "Painful Choice" to send DARK and LIGHT Attribute monsters to the Graveyard to make the summoning of this monster easier.

• After using its first effect of removing a Monster, activate "Metamorphosis" to turn this card into "Cyber Twin Dragon", "Gatling Dragon", etc.
