* You can handicap your opponent by Summoning Monsters to his side of the field. However, you may need to use "Mask of Restrict" to stop your opponent simply using them as Tribute them before the effects are applied. Some examples include:
+
* This card can be searched by "Terraforming", "Metaverse", "Ancient Fairy Dragon", "Cosmo Queen, the Queen of Prayers", "Set Rotation", "Planet Pathfinder", "Cattycorn", "Horned Saurus", "Demise of the Land", "Pop-Up", "Rainbow Bridge of Salvation", "Majesty Pegasus, the Dracoslayer", "An Owl of Luck", "Ghostrick Renovation", "Madolche Butlerusk", "Earthbound Servant Geo Kraken", "Favorite Hero", "How Did Dai Get Here?", and other generic searchers.
** "Ojama Trio" allows you to see your opponent's hand.

*** You can use this with "The Tricky" and "Tricky Spell 4" in combination with "Ojama Trio" to quickly Summon "Obelisk the Tormentor", allowing you to have a strong monster unaffected by "Clear World" while your opponent suffers. Then activate "Mask of Restrict" to solidify the lock.

** "Lava Golem" will inflict 1000 burn damage, and will cause "Clear World" to inflict a further 1000.

** "Grinder Golem", "Destiny Hero - Departed" "D.D. Guide" Nightmare Archfiends and "Revival Gift" can prevent your opponent from attacking.

** But keep in mind, Mask of Restrict does not hinder Fusion Summoning, Synchro Summoning, or Xyz Summoning.

* Alternately, you can give your opponent control of a monster with cards like "Creature Swap" or "Give and Take".
+
* Since this card's EARTH effect only affects Defense Position monster, you can simply avoided this by having all of your monster in Attack Position.

* The controller of "Elemental Hero Electrum" or "Elemental Mistress Doriado" will have to:
+
* "RGB Rainbowlution" can make an opponent's monster be treated as LIGHT, DARK, EARTH, WATER, FIRE, and WIND, making all of this card's effects impact them.
:#Play with their hand revealed

:#Discard one card in their hand

:#Take 1000 damage to their Life Points

:#Destroy 1 Defense Position monster they control, if it is face-up

:#Pay 500 Life Points for each Spell Card they would activate

* "Ameba" is much easier to Summon, and inflicts 2000 damage when swapped. It will then force your opponent to discard a card if it is still on the field during his End Phase.
+
* You can handicap your opponent by Summoning monsters to their side of the field or otherwise giving them control of one of your monsters ("Creature Swap" or "Give and Take".)
 +
** "Kaiju" monsters, "Ojama Trio", "Nibiru, the Primal Being", "Lava Golem", "Destiny Hero - Departed", "D.D. Guide", "Nightmare Archfiends", "Revival Gift", and "Putrid Pudding Body Buddies" are good examples of the former.
 +
** "House Duston" can Summon multiple "Duston" monsters with different Attributes to hinder your opponent with, and give the player "White Dustons" to use to Tribute Summon "Clear Vice Dragon".

* Monsters such as "Fox Fire" cannot be used as a Tribute, so may prove difficult for your opponent to remove, making them good "Creature Swap" targets.
+
* Use "Scroll of Bewitchment", "Strike of the Monarchs", and "DNA Transplant" to manipulate this card's effects.
 +
** By declaring WATER, you can force your own discards to activate the effects of Fabled or Attack Positionrs or reduce your hand for Infernity monsters.

* Equip "Scroll of Bewitchment" to your opponent's monster's to manipulate "Clear World"'s effects, and send them back to your hand through cards like "Fairy of the Spring" to virtually control the field.
+
* Take advantage of this card's discard effect in WATER decks to activate the effects of "Mermail Abysshilde" or "Mermail Abyssgunde".

* There is currently only one monster of the "Clear" archetype that has been released, so it is (almost) inevitable that you will be handicapped by at least one of this card's effects, until you Summon "Clear Vice Dragon" to your field and drop all of the effects. It is clearly advantageous to build a deck using monsters of the same attribute so you have only one handicap to deal with, allowing you to devise a strategy to minimize the impact and dangers of this card upon yourself.

**For example, if you are using DARK monsters, your attacking options will be restricted, so you can play this card in a deck that centers its strategy on Summoning a powerful dark monster that flies solo. A good example is any Earthbound Immortal monster

**Or, you may wish to use an alternate win condition such as "Exodia" or Burn. The burn strategy can use DARK monsters such as "Stealth Bird, "Nurse Reficule the Fallen One", "Shadowpriestess of Ohm", "Reactors" and "Cannon Soldier".

**Alternatively, use EARTH monsters and either:

***a) keep them in ATK position with plenty of cards preventing battle damage and/or destruction by battle, or

***b) use monsters whose effects activates when they are in the Graveyard.

**Another option is to to use this card with LIGHT monsters, as you only have to play with your hand revealed.

* Summon "Prime Material Dragon" and use "Scroll of Bewitchment" to make it a FIRE monster. Then use a deck of FIRE monsters.

** You could make "Des Wombat" a FIRE monster instead.

* Combo with "DNA Transplant" for any of the above strategies so that both players suffer only one of this card's consequences.

** You can also use "DNA Transplant" to your advantage with this card. (Ex: Makeing "Fabled" and "Infernity" monsters WATER monsters to speed up the Deck.)

* "Earthbound Immortals" are perfect for this card. If you control only 1 monster and that monster is an "Earthbound Immortal", you will be completely unaffected by this card.

** "Malefic" monsters have the same advantage.

* With the release of the tournament-legal "Obelisk the Tormentor" and "The Winged Dragon of Ra", and the legitimizing of the DIVINE Attribute, cards like "DNA Transplant", "Homunculus the Alchemic Being" and "Scroll of Bewitchment" have new-found use with this card.

* Keep in mind that you can also sidestep most effects from "Clear World" with "Egyptian Gods", due to their unique attribute (DIVINE) that will not give you a negative effect.  You will still have to pay the 500 Life Points though.

* Use the Life Point gain effect of "Solemn Wishes" to essentially nullify the cost for this card.

* Since the "Fabled" cards rather have you discard cards from your hand, or can only work with little cards in your hand, there is not much revealed by this cards effect, so putting "Clear World" in a "Fabled" deck wouldn't be half bad.

* Good to Side Deck in case you run into a Deck with multiple attributes. Such as "Elemental Heroes", "Fortune Ladies" or "The Six Samurai".

* You could put "Clear World" in a "Hopeless Dragon" Deck and Special Summon "Clear Vice Dragon" to avoid any negative effects from "Clear World" (however you'll still pay 500 each turn).

* You could use this Deck with a combination of "Frogs" and "Dark World" so that you have to discard the card, thus giving you an advantage.

* Alternatively, use "DNA Transplant" with a "Dark World"/"Fabled" Deck to gain massive advantages.

* "Mermail" monsters (especially Level 3 monsters) can also benefit from this card, as many of their effects activate when sent from the hand to the Graveyard.
