- This can benefit you if you use it on your opponent or even on yourself.
- Sometimes, quantity is better than quality, and this card can help there. For example, you can fuse 3 Blue-Eyes White Dragon from your hand into Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon, attack with the Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon, then use De-Fusion to attack with 3 Blue-Eyes White Dragons to inflict extra damage.
- When your opponent Fusion Summons a monster, use De-Fusion to sent it back to the Fusion Deck and waste your opponent's effort.
- You can de-fuse Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon to bring back 3 Blue-Eyes White Dragon's then use Delta Attacker to inflict 9000 of direct damage, assuming you're still in your Main Phase.
- Use de-fusion on Five-Headed Dragon to summon an army of Dragons
- To summon a high level monster faster, you can use Polymerization to fuse two or more monsters from your hand, then de-fuse the resulting fusion monster so the fusion material monsters can be Special Summoned onto the field, afterwards you can tribute any number of the following monsters to Normal Summon any high level monster you want.
- Future Fuse 5 strong Machines into Chimeratech Overdragon, then chain this card's effect to the effect of Chimeratech Overdragon that would normally send to the Graveyard all your cards. You now have 5 powerful machines on your field.
