- The three "Cyberdark" monsters make good Tribute fodder for "Crush Card Virus", "Deck Devastation Virus" and "Eradicator Epidemic Virus", as they have various ATK values according to the Dragon-Type equipped monster, or lack of equipment, after they have been destroyed.
- "Deck Devastation Virus" works well at knocking out some commonly-used cards, such as "Don Zaloog", Gadgets, Searchers, "Sangan", "D.D. Warrior Lady", "Spirit Reaper" and "Exiled Force".
- Activate this card and "Crush Card Virus" to destroy all of your opponent's monsters for the next 3 turns.
- This card works well with Dark World monsters since they are easy to Summon.
- This card is useful in baiting other removal cards. For example, setting a monster who meets the requirments for activation of "Deck Devastation Virus", and setting "Deck Devastation Virus" can be used to make an opponent waste a "Mystical Space Typhoon", "Heavy Storm", etc. It can also make an opponent waste a monster-removal card as well.
- This card works well with "Mind Crush" and "D.D. Designator" since you are able to view your opponent's hand.
- This card works well against a Deck reliant on Synchro Monsters since many Tuner Monsters and Synchro Material Monsters that tend to have low ATK.
- This card, in conjunction with "Dark Designator", works extremely well against an Exodia Deck.
- This card works well with "Cybernetic Magician": use "Cybernetic Magician" to make one of your DARK monsters' ATK 2000, then Tribute it for "Deck Devastation Virus".
- This card works extremely well in a Blackwing Deck, since "Blackwing - Sirocco the Dawn" can be used and is also very easy to Summon.
- This card works well with Hopeless Dragon Decks.
- Use "Dark Crusader" to meet this card's requirements.
- This card would effectively annihilate any Deck that swarms weaker monsters for Synchro Summoning like the popular Quickdraw Dandywarrior or Morphtronics.
- Use "DNA Transplant" and "Teva" with "Deck Devastation Virus" so that your opponent cannot attack this turn and you can clear monsters out.
