- This card can work exceptionally well if your opponent only controls 1 monster, because then it will be destroyed, regardless of ATK.
- This card can work great when comboed with "Light of Intervention", because then, "Fissure" can destroy a Defense Position monster with high DEF, but low ATK, such as "Millennium Shield" and "Labyrinth Wall".
- Use "Shrink" in conjunction with this card to have a better chance of destroying a monster you wish to destroy.
- If your opponent controls 2 monsters, you can summon a monster to destroy the weaker one, thus leaving the stronger one vulnerable to "Fissure".
