- This card can be searched via "Sangan". However, this is not advised since "Gearspring Spirit's" effect requires a Machine-only Graveyard.
- This card can be used really well in a Machina Deck. Besides its own effect, it's a Level 8 Machine-Type Monster that can be discarded in order to Special Summon "Machina Fortress".
- This card can be used in a Genex Deck, which are mostly Machine-Types themselves (and, in the case of Genex Allies, also DARK), while also being a great Synchro Material Monster for the Synchro Summon of "Locomotion R-Genex" if coupled with "Genex Recycled".
- This card works well in decks with monsters like "Blue Thunder T-45", "Victory Viper XX03" and "Falchionβ" because they need to destroy monsters by battle to activate their effects.
- Combine this card with "Truckroid" for a guaranteed boost in ATK.
- As this card is Level 8 and Special Summons itself, it can be used for a Rank 8 Xyz Summon, such as "Number 15: Gimmick Puppet Giant Grinder".
- Combine with the effect of "Number 33: Chronomaly Machu Mech" to inflict damage and possibly result in a OTK.
- Since this card is a Semi-Nomi monster, it can be revived with "Call of the Haunted" and/or "Limit Reverse" for additional uses.
- Use "Heart of Clear Water" to protect this monster from battle and card effects.
- Other cards that can help protect this card during your opponent's turn include "Mist Body" and "Spirit Barrier".
- As this card can only be used while there are only Machine -Type monsters in your graveyard, you would prefer to use it in a Machine Deck. Then, "Solidarity" would be very helpful.
- This card is a godsend for Ancient Gears. With Geartown on the field, you can Special Summon this card, activate its effect, then easily tribute it for Ancient Gear Golem, unleashing hefty damage. You can also Special Summon this card, destroy your Geartown and Special Summon an Ancient Gear Gadjiltron Dragon, giving you two Level 8's for an easy Xyz Summon.
