• This card can be Special Summoned with "Cyber-Stein" and "Summoner of Illusions".

• For a Lockdown, use "Lightning Vortex"/"Raigeki"/"Dark Hole" to destroy all of your opponent's monsters. Then Fusion Summon "The Last Warrior from Another Planet". This stops both players from summoning anything. On your next turn, activate "Light of Intervention" so your opponent can no longer Set monsters either. Since their field will mostly be empty, this gives you free access to Direct Attacks.
  • For extra safety, you may want to have "Solemn Judgment" and/or "Dark Bribe" on the field in case your opponent activates "Mystical Space Typhoon", "Heavy Storm", "Giant Trunade", or even "Harpie's Feather Duster" (if you are playing the Traditional Format).
• Another Lockdown can be made using this card after "The Last Warrior from Another Planet" is played, if you manage to set "Dark Simorgh", "Anti-Spell Fragrance" and either "Ceasefire or "The Spell Absorbing Life". This will leave your opponent with only what he/she allready have on the field.
• This card can work with "Last Turn".

• Use Forbidden Chalice when you summon The Last Warrior from Another Planet to negate it's effect for that turn and then summon Dark Simorgh. This guarantees the opponent cannot summon any monsters and will be left with whatever set Spells and Traps they have on the field. Combine this with Anti-Spell Fragrance to lockdown your opponents Spells completely, protecting both your monsters from Dark Hole and other destructive Spells.

• This card, along with "Jinzo" and "Spell Canceller" can completely lockdown the field, preventing your opponent from doing anything for the remainder of the duel. However, you will require a "Dimensionhole" or an "Interdimensional Matter Transporter" to get "Jinzo" and "Spell Canceller" off the field (respectively), otherwise "Last Warrior from Another Planet" will destroy them upon being summoned. Because these cards do not actually special summon, the monsters will be able to bypass "The Last Warrior"'s effect.

• Like certain other cards that restrict summons, there's nothing on the card text that says you can't Set. Use this to your advantage so you still have a defense if your opponent uses a "Fissure".

• If you are using "Elemental Hero Prisma" in your build, try using "Fusion Gate" and fuse it with "King of the Swamp" or "Maryokutai" to Summon "Elemental Hero Absolute Zero", then Summon "The Last Warrior from Another Planet" to destroy your "Elemental Hero Absolute Zero" and clear their monsters.

• Keep in mind that if you flip this card face down using Book of Moon, Book of Eclipse, etc. you can play monsters on the field until this card is flipped back face up. This can give you a severe advantage against your opponent, especially if you've built up a good number of monsters by setting them every turn.

• If you successfully summon this monster correctly first, you can use The Shallow Grave to replay this card and avoid destroying your own monsters.
