- For unknown reasons, Axe of Despair appears in the original version of Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's and Yu-Gi-Oh! GX with it's TCG artwork. Some people think it's because the OCG artwork was too scary.
- Though the face has been removed for censorship in the TCG version of this card, the red outline around the axe has retained its shape from the OCG version, which is noticeably jagged around the head of the axe.
