- This card appears in the artwork of "Roar of the Earthbound Immortal".
- Ccarayhua（Qaraywa） means lizard in Quechua language.
- Black Rose Dragon is the antithesis to this card; Black Rose destroys all cards on the field when it's summoned, where as Ccarayhua destroys all cards on the field when it's destroyed.
- Instead of absorbing his soul, Ccarayhua literally ate Sayer. Ccarayhua is the only Duel Monster to ever eat someone in the anime.
- This is the only Earthbound Immmortal whose effect was never used in the anime (other than the effect that lets it attack the opponent directly and/or preventing itself from being attacked).
- While this card was the third Earthbound Immortal to be shown in the anime (after Ccapac Apu and Aslla piscu) it was among the last to be released in the OCG (along with Uru and Wiraqocha Rasca).
