- This card has LIGHT, WIND, FIRE, DARK, and EARTH Fusion counterparts: "Elemental HERO The Shining", "Elemental HERO Great Tornado", "Elemental HERO Nova Master", "Elemental HERO Escuridao", and "Elemental HERO Gaia". As such, it is considered an "Omni Hero". However, this is the only card that can use any "HERO" monster to Fusion Summon, instead of specifically requiring an "Elemental HERO" monster.
- This card can be considered an advanced form of "Elemental HERO Ice Edge".
- The name of this card is taken from the term "Absolute Zero", which represents 0 Kelvin. At absolute zero, life cannot exist, which could be referenced in its last effect.
- This card is the first "Elemental HERO" with a significant Fusion requirement change from the anime or manga series.
- This card shares an odd distinction with "Alector, Sovereign of Birds" and "Kachi Kochi Dragon": They are all promo cards for manga volumes in which they do not appear.
- This card was a promo in volume four of GX, and its first appearance was in the first chapter of volume 5.
