- "Gate Guardian" is treated as a Ritual Monster in several Video Games, with "Gate Guardian Ritual" as its respective Ritual Spell Card.
- In Yu-Gi-Oh! The Falsebound Kingdom, "Gate Guardian" is a Fusion Monster.
- "Gate Guardian's" ATK and DEF is the sum of half the combined ATK and DEF of "Suijin", "Kazejin" and "Sanga of the Thunder".
- "Gate Guardian" is one of only four Level 11 monsters to ever be released, the others being "Yubel - Terror Incarnate", "Hyper Psychic Blaster/Assault Mode" and "Sophia the Creator".
- Coincidentally, all of those monsters are Effect Monsters.
- This card, "Valkyrion the Magna Warrior", "Meklord Astro Mekanikle", "Flying Fortress SKY FIRE", "Water Dragon", and "Machina Force" are the only TCG/OCG combined form monsters that aren't Fusion Monsters nor require their parts to be removed from play to summon it, like VWXYZ series and "Armityle the Chaos Phantom".
- This card's Summoning conditions are very similar to "Meklord Astro Mekanikle", "Valkyrion the Magna Warrior", "Machina Force", "Water Dragon" and "Flying Fortress SKY FIRE".
- "Gate Guardian" has the highest ATK and DEF of all level 11 Monster Cards, although its ATK is lower than that of several Level 10 monsters, such as "Cyber End Dragon".
- "Gate Guardian", "Kazejin", "Suijin", and "Sanga of the Thunder" in the Metal Raiders pack have no 8 digit code included on the card, along with some other cards, like "Magician of Black Chaos" or "Black Luster Soldier".
- "Gate Guardian" is the only monster with 3750 ATK so far.
- "Sanga of the Thunder", "Suijin", and "Kazejin", the monsters used to Summon this card, are featured in this card's artwork.
- This card has an anime-only counterpart called "Dark Guardian" that can only be summoned using an anime-only card called "Dark Element".
- The elements of the monsters that compose "Gate Guardian" seem to be the ones that compose a storm (thunder, wind, and water).
- In the manga, it is stated that this card was made like Exodia: it can only be Summoned by having multiple cards, and is extremely powerful (though not to the same extent as Exodia).
