  • This card's Summoning conditions are very similar to "Meklord Astro Mekanikle", "Valkyrion the Magna Warrior", "Machina Force", "Water Dragon" and "Flying Fortress SKY FIRE".
  • "Gate Guardian" is the only monster with 3750 ATK so far.
  • "Sanga of the Thunder", "Suijin", and "Kazejin", the monsters used to Summon this card, are featured in this card's artwork.
  • This card has an anime-only counterpart called "Dark Guardian" that can only be summoned using an anime-only card called "Dark Element".
  • The elements of the monsters that compose "Gate Guardian" seem to be the ones that compose a storm (thunder, wind, and water).
  • In the manga, it is stated that this card was made like Exodia: it can only be Summoned by having multiple cards, and is extremely powerful (though not to the same extent as Exodia).
