- This is the cover card of Soul of the Duelist and Dark Revelation Volume 3.
- In Egyptian mythology, Horus was the god of the sky and the son of Osiris and Isis. The sun and moon were believed to be his eyes. He was sometimes known as Khemwar, meaning "the great black one".
- Additionally, this monster bears a stunning resemblance to "The Winged Dragon Of Ra".
- This card has a DARK counterpart: "Dark Horus".
- This is one of the only two "LV" monsters to have a Dark counterpart, the other being "Armed Dragon LV7".
- This card is the Magic counterpart of "Sorcerer of Dark Magic".
