"Light and Darkness Dragon":
  • This monster's design is based on the concept of yin and yang, a balance between light and darkness.
    • This monster is composed of "Dark End Dragon" and "Light End Dragon". Fittingly, all three monsters feature an effect that decreases their ATK/DEF by 500 in order to activate their effects.
      • In the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX manga, Chazz Princeton uses both monsters and this monster in his Deck, as well as using many cards following a similar "light and darkness duality" theme.
  • This is the promotional card for the first volume of the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX manga, despite not having appeared in a Duel featured in the entire volume; however, its spirit makes an appearance during the volume.
  • This card's name was mentioned in a Sound Voltex song Xepher Light and Darkness Dragon REMIX. SDVX is produced by Bemani, Konami's music video game division, thus possible referencing directly within Konami.
