- This is the second monster to change its name treated as "Des Frog". The first is "Dupe Frog". Coincidentally, they have the same Attribute, Type, Level, ATK and DEF.
- This is the second "Toad" monster. The others are "Substitoad" and "Replacement Toad". Despite it's name "Toad Master" does not count as a Toad monster because of it's Japanese name, which uses the word Todo instead of Kaeru.
- Like "Swap Frog", "Dupe Frog", "Treeborn Frog" and "Beelze Frog" this monster has distinctive markings on its body and head.
- In Feudal Japan, a ronin was a Samurai who currently had no liege, usually because his original one had died without an heir. "Ronintoadin" thus has an Oriental appearance.
- The leaf on this monster's head is similar to the leaf on certain types of Baki in the game Drawn To Life.
