  • This is the second "Toad" monster. The others are "Substitoad" and "Replacement Toad". Despite it's name "Toad Master" does not count as a Toad monster because of it's Japanese name, which uses the word Todo instead of Kaeru.
  • In Feudal Japan, a ronin was a Samurai who currently had no liege, usually because his original one had died without an heir. "Ronintoadin" thus has an Oriental appearance.
  • The leaf on this monster's head is similar to the leaf on certain types of Baki in the game Drawn To Life.
  • This card and "Dupe Frog" have the highest DEF of all Level 2 monsters.
  • This card resembles Jiraiya's summons from the popular Naruto series.
