- Although this card is based on a Stegosaurus, it does not have the four tail spikes seen on the real animal; instead, it has a Stinger resembling that of scorpions.
- The Bandai version of this card is a Level 5 monster with 1000 ATK & 2100 DEF, whereas the Konami version is a Level 6 monster with 1750 ATK & 2030 DEF. Colours are also different.
- This is one of three Dinosaur-type cards that include "Dragon" in its card name, the other two being "Crawling Dragon 2" and "Root Dragonwood".
- This is one of the few cards whose ATK/DEF is not divisible by 50. Others are King of Yamimakai, Castle of Dark Illusions, Dark Chimera, Reaper of the Cards and Barox.
- This is the only card with 2030 DEF.
