  • In the Toei anime and Bandai card game, this card's artwork had a different color scheme, with a blue demon and pink dragon in a yellow and green vortex.
  • This card has a version with an alternate artwork and password, the former featuring what appear to be "flesh-and-blood" counterparts of the figures in the classic artwork, engulfed by a vortex leading to a copy of "Polymerization" whose own artwork is replaced by a glowing and spinning hexagram.
    • Outside Japan, the hexagram is replaced by a generic sigil to avoid any religious connotation.
    • As of its reprint in Prismatic God Box, the hexagram has also been replaced in the Japanese version of the artwork, this time with a pentagram. The frame of the card in the artwork was also updated to the Series 10 one.
  • For its Yu-Gi-Oh! Rush Duel release, this card's first OCG/TCG artwork was redrawn.
