Desert, known as Wasteland in the English manga and Yu-Gi-Oh! The Duelists of the Roses, is a field terrain that was shown in Duelist Kingdom. It was used by Yami Yugi to power-up his monsters like "Mammoth Graveyard".
In early video games, the field can be changed to Desert by activating "Wasteland", which grants the ATK and DEF changing effects of "Wasteland" to the affected area.
In Yu-Gi-Oh! The Duelists of the Roses, this terrain can also be made by using the effects of "Curse of Dragon", "Cyber-Stein", "Dokurorider", and "Weather Control".
