Yu-Gi-Oh!

• In episode 69, Joey uses this card during his duel against Mako Tsunami. When "Fortress Whale" attacks "Panther Warrior", Joey activates Kunai with Chain to equip it onto "Panther Warrior" and increase its ATK by 500. Joey then activates this card to equip it onto "Panther Warrior" and increase its ATK by 800. "Panther Warrior" then attacks and destroys "Fortress Whale". Later Joey activates "Giant Trunade" to return all Spell and Trap Cards to their owners' hands.
• In episode 74, this card appears within a series of flashbacks that show all of Joey's Duels in Battle City.
• In episode 124, this card is shown in a flashback that Joey has when he remembers all the Duelists he faced on his way to the Battle City Finals.
• "Lightning Blade" could also be equipped to a Beast-Warrior-Type monster in the anime.

Yu-Gi-Oh! R

• In Yu-Gi-Oh! R Yugi can be seen using Lightning Blade Spell Card in two duels against Deschutes Lew and Gekkou Tenma.

Yu-Gi-Oh! GX

• In episode 54, Reginald Van Howell III uses this card during his duel against Chazz Princeton. He equips this card and "Divine Sword - Phoenix Blade" onto "Armed Samurai - Ben Kei", increasing the latter monster's ATK by 800 and 300 respectively. This card remained on the field until the Duel was over.
• In episode 91, An Obelisk Blue student uses this card during his duel against Lucien Grimley. On the last turn of the Duel, Lucien activates "Slash Draw" to send the top four cards of his Deck to the Graveyard and draw a card. Since Lucien drew "Slash Draw", all cards on the Obelisk Blue student's side of the field are destroyed and he takes 4000 damage (1000 damage for each card destroyed and sent to the Graveyard), thus winning Lucien the Duel.
