Card Rulings:Constellar Pollux
TCG Rulings
- The following ruling applies to Dverg of the Nordic Alfar, Constellar Pollux, Evilswarm Castor, Dodger Dragon, and Blizzard Princess:
- If you Normal Summon them successfully, and their effects are not negated from the moment they step on to the field by something like Skill Drain, then for the rest of the turn their effect is applied, regardless of what happens to the monster.[1]
OCG Rulings
- The effect of "Constellar Pollux" is not a Continuous Effect, Ignition Effect, Trigger Effect, or Quick Effect.[2]
- Normal Summoning by the application of the effect of "Constellar Pollux" does not start a Chain Link.[2]
- If you Normal Summon by the effect of "Constellar Pollux", you can only Normal Summon face-up. (You cannot Set in face-down Defense Position.)[2]
- After "Constellar Pollux" is Normal Summoned, even if it leaves the field, you can apply its effect during the Main Phase of that turn.[2]
- If you Normal Summon a Level 5 or higher monster by the effect of "Constellar Pollux", it requires the same Tributes as a Tribute Summon.[2]
- Q: If "Skill Drain" is activated after you Normal Summoned "Evilswarm Castor", is the effect that allows you to Normal Summon 1 "lswarm" monster in addition to your Normal Summon/Set is negated? Similarly, if "Skill Drain" is activated after you Normal Summoned "Dverg of the Nordic Alfar" or "Constellar Pollux", is its effect negated?
Also, if you Normal Summon "Evilswarm Castor" etc. while "Skill Drain" is already activated, is the effect that allows you to Normal Summon 1 "lswarm" monster in addition to your Normal Summon/Set negated?
- Q: If "Skill Drain" is activated after you Normal Summoned "Evilswarm Castor", is the effect that allows you to Normal Summon 1 "lswarm" monster in addition to your Normal Summon/Set is negated? Similarly, if "Skill Drain" is activated after you Normal Summoned "Dverg of the Nordic Alfar" or "Constellar Pollux", is its effect negated?
- A: After you Normal Summon "Evilswarm Castor", even if "Skill Drain" is activated, the effect that allows you to Normal Summon 1 "lswarm" monster in addition to your Normal Summon/Set is not negated. Similarly, after you Normal Summon "Dverg of the Nordic Alfar" or "Constellar Pollux", even if "Skill Drain" is activated, its effects are not negated.
Also, if you Normal Summon "Evilswarm Castor" etc. while "Skill Drain" is already activated, its effects are negated.[3]
- Q: During the turn you Normal Summoned a Level 1 LIGHT Tuner by the effect of "Mausoleum of White", can you apply the effect of "Constellar Pollux" and Normal Summon a "Constellar" monster?
- A: During the turn you Normal Summoned a Level 1 LIGHT Tuner in addition to your Normal Summon/Set by the effect of "Mausoleum of White", you cannot apply the effect of "Constellar Pollux" and Normal Summon another monster.[4]
- Q: During the turn you Normal Summoned in addition to your Normal Summon/Set by the effect of "Constellar Pollux", can you Normal Summon by the effect of "Constellar Sombre"?
- A: During the turn you applied the effect of "Constellar Pollux", you can activate the effect of "Constellar Sombre" that Normal Summons 1 "Constellar" monster.[5]
- Q: During the turn "Phantom of Chaos" was Normal Summoned, if it banishes "Constellar Pollux" from your Graveyard by its own effect, can you Normal Summon by the effect of that "Constellar Pollux"?
- A: Even if "Phantom of Chaos" gains the effect of "Constellar Pollux", you cannot apply the effect that allows you to Normal Summon 1 "Constellar" monster in addition to your Normal Summon/Set.[6]
