Card Rulings:Riryoku
OCG Rulings
- This card cannot be activated if there are not 2 face-up monsters on the field.[1]
Previously Official Rulings
These TCG rulings were issued by Upper Deck Entertainment and have since been declared unofficial by Konami.[2] They were previously considered official and can still be correct, as long as they follow the official gameplay rules, or unless Konami has issued a ruling that says otherwise. - This card halves the current ATK of the monster it targets.
- If this card targets a monster that is affected by "Shrink", its ATK will become half of the halved ATK, or 1/4 its original ATK. If a monster whose ATK is halved by "Riryoku" is affected by "Shrink", its ATK will become half of its original (printed) ATK.
Mentions in Other Rulings
- Big Shield Gardna: A face-down "Big Shield Gardna" can only negate a Spell Card that targets 1 face-down monster, so it cannot negate "Riryoku"...
- Spirit Reaper: If "Spirit Reaper" is targeted by "Riryoku", it is destroyed, but the increase to the other monster's ATK lasts until the end of the turn as normal.
