TCG Rulings
- "This card cannot be used as a Synchro Material Monster, except for the Synchro Summon of a "Scrap" monster, and all other Synchro Material Monsters must also be "Scrap" monsters" is not treated as an effect. It won't be negated by Skill Drain.[1]
OCG Rulings
- The effect "When this card is Normal Summoned, you can select 1 "Scrap" Tuner monster in your Graveyard and Special Summon it" is a Trigger Effect.[2]
- The effect "you can select 1 "Scrap" Tuner monster in your Graveyard and Special Summon it" can optionally be activated when "Scrap Chimera" itself is Normal Summoned face-up.[2]
- The effect "you can select 1 "Scrap" Tuner monster in your Graveyard and Special Summon it" targets 1 "Scrap" Tuner in your Graveyard.[2]
