Card Tips:Brain Crusher
- This card can be searched by "Cocoon of Ultra Evolution", "Insect Imitation", "Resonance Insect", "Ninjitsu Art of Transformation", "Verdant Sanctuary", "Kittytail, Mystical Beast of the Forest", "Dharc the Dark Charmer, Gloomy", "Dwarf Star Dragon Planeter", "Magical Contract Door", "Chaos Zone", "Rescue Ferret", "Additional Mirror Level 7", "Witch of the Black Forest", and other generic searchers.
- This card can be Tribute Summoned with one Tribute using "Double Coston" and "The First Monarch".
- Use "Foolish Revival" to bring back a monster from your opponent's graveyard that you'd like to control, then attack and destroy it with "Brain Crusher". You can then special summon it during the end phase of your turn and gain control of it.
- "Prickle Fairy" works well with "Brain Crusher". Any monster powerful enough to destroy "Brain Crusher" will have to attack "Prickle Fairy" first and "Prickle Fairy's" effect will force it into face-up defense position, making it easy prey for "Brain Crusher".
- Card of Safe Return can work well with "Brain Crusher". Use "Creature Swap" to give your opponent a monster, then attack and destroy it with "Brain Crusher". At the end phase of your turn, you can special summon it back to the field and draw a card!
- With the release of "Gigaplant", Brain Crusher can fit well in a Plant/Insect themed deck. "Gigaplant" can special summon "Brain Crusher" straight to the field from your hand, or you can use "Foolish Burial" to dump a "Brain Crusher" from your deck to the graveyard and then use a "Gigaplant" to revive it.
- A Plant/Insect themed deck that uses "Gigaplant" can typically get it out very quickly with cards such as "Lonefire Blossom" or "Blazewing Butterfly". After you get a "Gigaplant" to the field, use "Insect Imitation" to tribute "Gigaplant" and bring out "Brain Crusher" straight from your deck.
- Use "Creature Swap" to give your opponent a searching" monster such as "Lord Poison" or "UFO Turtle", then attack and destroy it with "Brain Crusher". You'll get to activate the searcher's effect to special summon a monster, and at the end phase of your turn you can special summon the searcher back to the field to search with it again.
Traditional Format[edit]
- When combined with "Sangan" and "Arcana Force XVIII - The Moon", "Brain Crusher" could potentially search out the five pieces of Exodia. (In order for this to work, "Arcana Force XVIII - The Moon" must be using it's "tails" effect.) Using a card such as "Creature Swap" or "Shien's Spy", place the "Sangan" under your opponent's control, and attack it with "Brain Crusher". This will let you search out one of the pieces of Exodia. Then, during your end phase, special summon the "Sangan" using "Brain Crusher's" effect, and place it back under your opponent's control using "Arcana Force XVIII - The Moon's" effect. Continue this cycle until you have all the pieces of Exodia. Needless to say, "Card of Safe Return" would speed up this process.
