- This card can be searched by "Pyramid Turtle", "Eldlixir of Black Awakening", "Eldlixir of Scarlet Sanguine", "Samurai Skull", "Creeping Darkness", "Dark General Freed", "Mystic Potato", "Mystic Tomato", "Chaos Zone", "Summoner Monk", "Primathmech Alembertian", "Battle Royal Mode - Joining", "Vampire Dragon", "Resonator Engine", "Soul Rope", "Rescue Ferret", "Umbramirage the Elemental Lord", "Sangan", and other generic searchers.
- Note that this card's effect is harder to pull off than it appears, as even if there are no cards in your hand at the start of your turn, 1 card will still be drawn during the Draw Phase. To successfully use this card's effect:
- Use "Offerings to the Doomed" or "Reckless Greed" the previous turn, which will skip the Draw Phase and cause yourself to have an empty hand during your Standby Phase.
- Use the effect of "Flame Tiger" during your Draw Phase, Special Summoning it in place of conducting your normal draw.
- Activate a Trap Card with a discard cost during your Standby Phase before using this card's effect, such as "Phoenix Wing Wind Blast" or "Raigeki Break" which will discard your draw and reduce your hand size to 0. "Full Salvo" also works, and can be additionally used if this card is currently in your hand (or even if it was just drawn).
