Card Trivia:Dark Necrofear
- This is one of the cover cards of the Japanese version of Labyrinth of Nightmare.
- In this card's first appearance in the Yu-Gi-Oh! manga, it had the name "Dark Necrophilia" (ダーク・ネクロフィリア).[1] The name was changed to its current name starting from the next issue, as well as reprints of its debut issue.
- This card has a retrained version: "Curse Necrofear" (albeit with reversed ATK/DEF).
- This monster appears in the artworks of "Destiny Board" (albeit only its hand), "Sentence of Doom" and "Sun God Unification".
- In the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Tag Force series, this monster spells out the message of "Destiny Board" after a player places "Spirit Message "L"" and is about to win.
- The face of the marionette appears to be that of "Necroface".
- According to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Guide, this card is the Queen of all Fiend-Type monsters.[citation needed]
- In the manga and original Japanese anime, when Bakura was about to summon "Dark Necrofear", he states that she is the Queen of the World of the Dead.
- This card's OCG/TCG artwork is taken from Yu-Gi-Oh! Duelist - Duel 145, specifically from the panel where it is shown being Summoned.
