Card Trivia:Prometheus, King of the Shadows
- In Greek mythology, Prometheus was a Titan who went against the orders of Zeus and brought fire to humans. He was punished by being tied to the top of a mountain, and having an eagle eat his liver every day (which regenerated).
- This card’s Japanese name translates to "Dark King Prometheus". The Japanese name of this card corresponds to the Japanese name of one of the "Virus" Traps: Eradicator Epidemic Virus.
- This card also resembles the dark Image Comics superhero Spawn.
- This is the first card to be reprinted in two different Gold Series, a Gold Rare in Gold Series, and as a Common in Gold Series 4: Pyramids Edition.
- This card has a DEF boosting counterpart, "Maniacal Servant".
