Thoughts/suggestions/help? — This unsigned comment was made by Zaxara (talkcontribs)

Alright, next time, make a signature with ~~~~ so your name and time will be record when you posting in Forum/Talk page. And do you know that current banlist has Heavy Storm in Forbidden List? Get it out for new MST (which is now Semi-Limited). Why do you running Altar for Tribute and Bottomless Shifting Sand? They're worthless, just put in two Bottomless TRAP HOLE and at least Solemn Judgment while you're at it. --FredCat Ta.P.F.P.J.R.W.S.Th.P.S.C. 23:29, November 8, 2010 (UTC)

reply

Alright, 2 bottomless trap holes it is.

I took out Heavy Storm and replaced it with a second Flute of Summoning Dragon. I was also thinking of putting in 2 Armed Dragon level 10's, as opposed to the two Blue Eyes I have in there. Unsure.

That's good choice, Cave Dragon and Spirit Ryu are complete unnecessary here, add third Masked Dragon and either Luster Dragon or Spear Dragon (since they both 1900 ATK) to complete your Armed Dragon beatdown. --FredCat Ta.P.F.P.J.R.W.S.Th.P.S.C. 23:33, November 8, 2010 (UTC)

Just to recap.

No Bottomless Shifting Sands, put in Solemn Judgement.

Take out both Altar of Tributes, put in 2 bottomless trap holes.

Take out Cave Dragon & Spirit Ryu, put in Masked and either Spear/Luster

Take out Heavy Storm, put in a 2nd Flute of summoning dragon due to already having a Mystical Space Typhoon in there.

Take out Blue Eyes and put in 2 Armed Dragon level 10's.

And the rest of the deck looks fine? — This unsigned comment was made by Zaxara (talkcontribs)

Honestly, Armed Dragon LV10 is useless, keep blue-eyes or just using it for other dragons that would be possible to prove you worth. --FredCat Ta.P.F.P.J.R.W.S.Th.P.S.C. 23:37, November 8, 2010 (UTC)

So just use the Blue Eyes and discard it from the hand to bring out other dragon's effects, like Armed Dragon level 7's? — This unsigned comment was made by Zaxara (talkcontribs)

Armed Dragon LV5 required you to attack the opponent's monster in order to level up, while his effect that destroy monster just destroy them. Be careful with what you're putting the words. Also, you can PUT up to two Mystical Space Typhoon currently, as of update Banlist allowed that in place of Banning Heavy Storm. --FredCat Ta.P.F.P.J.R.W.S.Th.P.S.C. 23:42, November 8, 2010 (UTC)

Alrighty. I think I understand now. Putting in level 10's would be useless, due to the effects. With regards to the level 7 and how you have to discard one card from your hand to the graveyard and the monster's attack designates which cards are destroyed, (if it's equal or less than), would the Blue Eyes serve well in this purpose?

So I'll just have 1 Flute of Summoning Dragon then, and 2 Mystical Space Typhoons. — This unsigned comment was made by Zaxara (talkcontribs)

Indeed, that dragon you tried to put in is just super hard to keep on the field, while Blue-Eyes easily get onto the field with Flute of Summoning Dragon. --FredCat Ta.P.F.P.J.R.W.S.Th.P.S.C. 23:53, November 8, 2010 (UTC)

Also, I think that with the level 7, you can also sacrifice a lower level dragon as well, like a Luster Dragon to get it on the Field, then you can use the Blue Eyes with Flute of Summoning Dragon for added effect....aah. It's all beginning to become clear to me, ^^.

No Bottomless Shifting Sands, put in Solemn Judgement.

Take out both Altar of Tributes, put in 2 bottomless trap holes.

Take out Cave Dragon & Spirit Ryu, put in Masked and either Spear/Luster

Take out Heavy Storm, replace with second MST.

Aside from those changes, everything else is all and good with the deck? — This unsigned comment was made by Zaxara (talkcontribs)

You sound like as if you're just enter the Yu-Gi-Oh world... Please be sure to know how Semi-NOMI ruling work, LV7 and LV10 are little hard to special summon at right time. You can also "Reborn" Blue-Eyes White Dragon while you cannot do that with Armed Dragon LV10. "The Flute of Summoning Dragon" required Lord of D. in order to activate it entire effect, then you can summon two high level dragons with no effort, like Armed Dragon LV5, Blue-Eyes White Dragon, details. Also, be sure to keep up with Banlist, as it changed each 6 months. And please, in future, tap ~ four time at end of your part of talk on this page, so it will automatic place your screenname and time set when you saved the page. --FredCat Ta.P.F.P.J.R.W.S.Th.P.S.C. 00:04, November 9, 2010 (UTC)

I just got back into Yu-Gi-Oh card, 10 years later, heh. So it's coming back to me. I know about the effects of the cards such as how Flute of Summoning Dragon requires Lord of D. and such, I suppose it just took a while to sink in. I'm mighty grateful for all the help you've given me with the deck, is there anything else that needs working on, like other traps/monsters/magic cards?

Alright, here's my version of how Armed Dragon beatdown look like;
Only built in 5 minutes, not ever using real card or YVD (Yugioh Virtual Dueling, which is computer technology of Yu-Gi-Oh!) only change after see your deck recipe, and no, I don't think your list look suck, that's just my way of building it. I am sure that would help you improve your Dragon deck if you tried to know how this deck running. --FredCat Ta.P.F.P.J.R.W.S.Th.P.S.C. 00:19, November 9, 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for the list, I'd have to buy 18 cards then. I hope the Five Headed Dragon or Blue Eyes Ultimate won't cost too much, but I'll try and model my deck around yours. Thanks also for all the help! — This unsigned comment was made by Zaxara (talkcontribs)

Sad to say, both dragons you mentioned are JUMP manga price (Ultimate Dragon is in some shop with Yami Yugi issue and couple of Dark Revolution or Dark Beginning packs, while Five-Headed Dragon is reprinted as one of JUMP Shonen promo, check it out on their own main page). But I am sure you can get them for cheap if you check them out on toywiz.com --FredCat Ta.P.F.P.J.R.W.S.Th.P.S.C. 00:31, November 9, 2010 (UTC)

So I suppose around 4-5 dollars for the Blue Eyes and the 5-Headed?— This unsigned comment was made by Zaxara (talkcontribs)

For Ultimate Dragon, it's at least 15 bucks on the site I gave out. Five-Headed Dragon is found in Structure Deck for Dinosaur tribe, cost 23 bucks, in same site. But hey, if you can try trade good strong cards that you never interesting in for them, it would be worth your benefit. --FredCat Ta.P.F.P.J.R.W.S.Th.P.S.C. 00:40, November 9, 2010 (UTC)

Oh, my. That's quite a bit for just 2 cards. I'll have to think about that, how to go about getting them, but thanks again for all the help. :D — This unsigned comment was made by Zaxara (talkcontribs)

Again, you don't really need to get those fusion monsters, they're just for bonus. And you're welcome. I would be glad to help you if you need any. If you do, please visit my Talk page (Ta.P. in my signature) and hit "Leave Message" to ask me some questions. --FredCat Ta.P.F.P.J.R.W.S.Th.P.S.C. 01:02, November 9, 2010 (UTC)

I sent a very nice email to the local card store owners here, asking for a price estimate with the cards I need, compared with/without the fusion monsters. I'm going to try and get them for the added effect, but if it goes a bit too steep in price, I might save up and get them later. Alrighty, I'll leave you a message later this week, and let you know how the deck went. ^^ — This unsigned comment was made by Zaxara (talkcontribs)

That's good to know. --FredCat Ta.P.F.P.J.R.W.S.Th.P.S.C. 01:06, November 9, 2010 (UTC)

I was able to get everything except another Luster Dragon, Five-Headed Dragon, Smashing Ground, and Solemn Judgement.

What are some backups of those from my original deck that I posted that I can put in their place? Like some of the ones we took out?

Also, I got everything else for a total of about $50.

UPDATE!

K, I ordered hours later, so instead of before, I am now missing:

Totem Dragon x 2

Smashing Ground

Dimensional Prison x 2

Solemn Judgement

Maybe instead of Dimensional Prison, to substitute I could put in 2 trap holes.

Instead of missing 2 totem dragons, I could put in an extra Lord of D. for insurance, and a Cave Dragon, so I'd be able to discard it from my hand on the fly to summon Armed Dragon level 3, 5 or 7...one of the ones that involve discarding a card from the hand.

As of now, Cave Dragon can help you with Armed Dragon's effect in place of "Totem Dragon". If you have Lightning Vortex, let it cover "Smashing Ground". Sakuretsu Armor can take up Dimensional Prison's place till you get them. Any card in trap cards except Solemn Judgment and Mirror Force can be double or triple (Magic Cylinder can go double) so any trap is up to you. --FredCat Ta.P.F.P.J.R.W.S.Th.P.S.C. 20:56, November 11, 2010 (UTC)

To replace Totem Dragons for the time being I put in an additional Armed Dragon level 3, and Masked Dragon.

To replace Dimensional Prison, I put in a Solemn Wishes and Enchanted Javelin for Life Points management incase of an emergency.

And to replace Solemn Judgement, I opted to put in another magic card.

I had about 1 sleeve left over, so I stuck in a trap jammer in case of another emergency scenario.

Ah, to clarify. I put in.

1 Armed Dragon lvl 3 1 Masked Dragon

1 Solemn Wishes 1 Enchanted Javelin 1 Trap Jammer (extra sleeve)

1 Graveyard of Fourth Dimension 1 Level up!

Hey guys, I saw this here and wanted to put some of my own ideas into this post. I have my own Armed Dragon Deck. I've had some pretty good runs with it. One thing you will notice is that I don't run any Lord of D. Trust me, all that card would do is take up space. It wouldn't fit in this deck. Anyway, here you go.

C'mon Guys, Really?

I have jsut one thing to say here. Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon. That is all. CardGamesFTW (talkcontribs) 23:53, November 15, 2010 (UTC)

LittleKuriboh posted on my topic page. *Fangirl scream*.

Huh, that's quite the card.
