Forum:Basic Malefic Deck

Hey Guys, I making a Malefic Deck and need a little help constructing it. This deck is simply for fun. As a guide, the decks I will be vs. are: "LVs" and Zombie Darkworlds.

All the Malefic monsters, other than Stardust Dragon and Cyber End, are not very good, simply because you have to add inconsistencies to your deck. I suggest removing them and maxing Stardust/Cyber End. You should have 3 Stardust and Cyber End (so that you can use said cards). With that, you can take out Lighten the Load (just not that good a card) and Trade-In. I suggest Geartown and Meklord Fortress (three and two) instead of Malefic World, plus two Meklord Emperor Wisel and two Ancient Gear Gadjiltron Dragon. Then, since the Spell Cards are disposable, you can remove Dark Bribe for Solemn Judgment and two Solemn Warning. The deck should be a lot more consistent. If the Field Spell card is destroyed, a Malefic will self-destruct, allowing you to get Wisel. If the Field Spell was Geartown, you get a Chimeratech, if it was a Fortress, you'll get a Wisel to your hand. BF2 Talk Deck Guides 13:53, December 9, 2011 (UTC)

Well...Parallel Gear isn't very good...neither is Paradox Dragon. Malefic Rainbow Dragon is not very good either. BF2 Talk Deck Guides 13:57, December 13, 2011 (UTC)
  • I don't see why you have Montage Dragon at all, quite a few people run Effect Veiler and hell, you're even running Skill Drain. Not to mention most of the cards you run are high enough attack as it is, people aren't going to get rid of them by battle so a higher attack won't matter.
  • I also don't see why you only have 1 Beast King Barbaros in a skill drain build, you should have 3 + maybe 2-3 Fusilier Dragon, the Dual-Mode Beast.
  • I would suggest adding some more field spells, maybe replace a few Terraforming with 2-3 other field spells (like Geartown) because Thunder King Rai-Oh is a pretty common card among most decks and stops all add to hand searchers.
  • You cannot use your Different Dimension cards on Stardust Dragon or Rainbow Dragon (if you decide to keep it), and I'm pretty sure it can't special summon Cyber End Dragon.
  • Malefic Claw Stream is kind of situational, you have to think if you really need it. Yes you can get it via Malefic World but is it the card you would want to search for?
  • Field Barrier is only useful when you have a field spell card out or in hand, but it does help a bit I guess.
  • No Trap Dustshoot or Torrential Tribute? At the very least you should ALWAYS fit Trap Dustshoot, it's way too good to not be in every deck (an exception may be a royal decree build or Gallis the Star Beast OTK deck).
  • You currently have 44 cards in your deck, there should be 40. A Malefic deck needs this the most because if you don't have a Malefic AND a Field spell you have no plays.
