Forum:Chocolate Chaos Neos

Deafening brightness and blinding darkness make this Deck real purty 'n stuff. The basic stuff is Neo-Spacian Contact Fusions with Chaos sprinkles. I'm having problems cramming everything I want into 60 cards, let alone streamlining everything into a speedy 40.

Here is a rough sketch of the Deck as it stands now:

As you can see, I have far too many Spell Cards and I generally need to cut it down. As the build goes, it's easiest to get Glow Neos out thanks to its protective effect. Phantom of Chaos is awesome, allowing me to use the power and effect of a dead Neos Fusion for a turn. "Interdimensional Matter Transporter" saves Chaos Neos from himself sometimes, but has little use otherwise (I rarely bring him out).

Here is the previous structure of this Deck:

The "Cocoon Rebirth"/"Cocoon Party" combination works reasonably well mid-game, but takes a while to gain momentum. Most of this Deck's problems come from lack of field presence. Any advice would be appreciated. Designless Square (talkcontribs) 04:37, December 13, 2010 (UTC)

only suggestion i hav iz to make the deck smaller...60 cards iz way to much..the perfect amount is 40 cards..with 40 cards it would run much more smoothly..the to decks are good but the amount of cards within them could really throw u off Ttevin7 (talkcontribs) 07:20, December 13, 2010 (UTC)

Thank you for your contribution. I will use this information to re-make the Deck entirely.

I cut FUDGE NEOS down to 60 cards. I still need help righting what is wrong. The Deck is still so very uncoordinated.

Realization

You have even more of my gratitude, Ttevin. I now understand that the tools that I have are useless if I can't draw them. I had misinterpreted your post. I will fix CHOCO NEOS immediately.

This puts me at a clean 43 with some draw power and no Chaos elements. I have considered designing around the effects of Glow Moss with Air Hummingbird, Aqua Dolphin, and maybe "Appropriate." I have yet to test this, but any help would be appreciated. Let me know if there are cards that take advantage of opposing draws.

Well, I've never tried a Neo's Deck before, so figured I'd have a go~ (even though it's not using Appropriate)

Basicly, it's based off of yours, but with a card from an old experimental deck added in, of Debris Dragon, who can bring back Cross Porter, sync, then get a sync + a Neo-spacian to hand, it's also cut down to 40 cards,

It's pretty pretty, though I shudder at the thought of taking "Field Barrier" out. I wonder why you took out an Alius for a Prisma. Also, how does this Deck deal with being punched repeatedly? I included "Scrap-Iron Scarecrow" because a single Cyber Dragon can kill every basic monster in the Deck. Maybe I'm missing something...

You only had 2 Alius in the prior build, but the reason for triple prisma, is due to your mass of special fusion summoning, and a number of ways of revival, so they can contact, also, Cyber Dragon can kill every basic monster in most decks these days, it's why people have Synchro Monsters :p, though, you could always add Honest due to Neo/Neo/Prisma/Glow-Resk (talkcontribs) 00:31, December 16, 2010 (UTC)

I wasn't sure how many Alius I was running anymore.
Honest it is. Here we go:
It took a moment for me to realize that Debris Dragon's effect doesn't just help with Synchro Summons. "Hero Mask" is a great card. Moreover, Debris Dragon can be tuned with any Neo-Spacian for the critical Ancient Fairy Dragon. Your input has been tremendously helpful.

I made a few changes to the Deck when I realized that Debris Dragon cannot Synchro Summon Level 8 monsters with a single other monster. The odds of getting two Cross Porters out for a Stardust Dragon are low. Also, Honest doesn't work too well with two viable LIGHT attackers.

Update

I keep getting killed. There's not enough "Neo Space". Furthermore, Elemental Hero Neos himself is a dead draw. I hope this fixes things:

"Emergency Call" was basically a dead draw, as the monsters I could get were useless for defense. I mean no offense to the reasonable people of the tournament scene, but "Mirror Force" is not useful. At best, I kill a field full of monsters and build up insurmountable momentum on the next turn. In reality, because of Dark Panther and Dark Neos, killing is less useful than resurrecting.
Grand Mole and Glow Moss are much better defenders than Alius. That kid is kind of unusable without "Common Soul".
Know what's awesome? Prisma with Neo Space. That's what's awesome.
I've noticed that I've slowly crept away from all Chaos elements in this Deck. I could use any Neo-Spacians and the Deck would be the same. How strange.

Breaking News!

This Deck doesn't work! Shocking, isn't it? The Deck isn't built to take advantage of the Neos Fusions' effects, and "Neo Space" is incredibly touchy. Help would help.

At last, we've come full circle.

If this Deck can be said to have a flaw {which it can), it is in having fifty cards. However, its draw power is massive. Advice on which cards to cut and how to rework the Deck in their absence would be appreciated.
