Forum:Crystal Aliens!

Ok, so I finally posted my Crystal Aliens. I just got my hands on my third Rainbow Ruins and my second Topaz Tiger, which is why I have revived this build. For those of you who don't know, the strategy is to abuse C-Beasts in cont. spell form with Cosmic Fortress Gol'gar to generate tons of A-Counters and also recycle C-Beasts. FYI, if I had a Summoner Monk, I would probably put it in here; however, I don't...

Mainly, I'm looking for ways to make this flow better, although it does work reasonably well. People have suggested Crystal Beast Emerald Tortoise in the past, but I don't see how it would be particularly effective here. Also, I don't have Rare Values; in fact, I don't have many more C-Beasts cards other than what I have here.

Suggestions are appreciated. ty.--SantaOrc26 (Talk) 02:29, February 21, 2010 (UTC)

bump, plz.--SantaOrc26 (Talk) 18:13, February 21, 2010 (UTC)

I have no experience with aliens and only a little with crystal beasts but after reading it I think your idea is real good! OjaOwnage 18:49, February 21, 2010 (UTC)

Why thank you for your opinion; however, I was under the impression that this idea has been tried before since I actually made this deck a long time ago. Only recently have I rebuilt it since I have finally got some essential cards that I had lacked before.

For anyone knowledgeable in Crystal Beasts, would you say that the C-Beast support cards in here (other than perhaps Rare Values) are the best ones for me to use?--SantaOrc26 (Talk) 22:45, February 21, 2010 (UTC)

Update: I went ahead and added a few cards to the decklist: Summoner Monk, Sangan, and Crop Circles.--SantaOrc26 (Talk) 01:00, February 22, 2010 (UTC)

  • Ok, sorry about being an idiot before and not really reading the decklist. But I will say, since I'm currently playing/tweaking a Crystal Abundance OTK deck I would suggest removing it from your list. You have some continuous spell cards and more than 1 or 2 traps. Both of those conflict with Abundance since you want to have 4 beasts in the back row. And it's gonna be a dead draw for most of the game.

I'll end the post with a question: How important is it for you to summong CB's versus aliens?

  • Ty for the suggestion; I am ok with taking out the Abundance - maybe I'll replace it with Lightning Vortex/Heavy Storm?
As for which I will summon more, the Aliens are there primarily to synchro for Gol'gar, which means that I'm perfectly ok with them being in the Graveyard - however I also want to use them to help keep some A-Counters on the field for Code A Ancient Ruins, although Gol'gar is the primary combo with the Ancient Ruins.
I use the C-Beasts to mainly stay on the field and keep field presence until Gol'gar, and since I have 2 C-Blessings and the 3 C-Beast Pegasus can also pull from the graveyard, I'm ok with having some C-Beasts in the grave from cards like Crop Circles. So, I would summon C-Beasts (specifically Pegasus) more, and use Crop Circles to switch to an Alien when needed.
Overall, the deck is a tad aggro, so I'll attack with whatever I got, and if my monsters get destroyed, then I'll be either getting a back row C-Beast or more fodder for an Ammonite synchro.--SantaOrc26 (Talk) 18:20, February 22, 2010 (UTC)

bump.

any more help?--SantaOrc26 (Talk) 05:25, February 24, 2010 (UTC)

Hey, I have an idea; how about I add in Big Bang Shot and/or Megamorph? reasons:

Big Bang Shot: I can use it normally to boost and inflict pierce damage, and I can also use the removal combo with Gol'gar (equip to an opponent's monster, have Gol'gar bounce it, and the monster is removed from play).

Megamorph: It is useful for powering up my primarily lv4 monsters when my life points are lower, and with Gol'gar I can bounce it and equip it to an opponent's powerful monster when my life points are higher.

would either of these be a good idea?--SantaOrc26 (Talk) 00:36, February 25, 2010 (UTC)

c'mon, nothing?

whatever, I'll just let this die...--SantaOrc26 (Talk) 15:58, February 26, 2010 (UTC)
