Welcome

...to my User Page. I'm not sure how long Yugioh has been out, but I have been playing it for a long time. Yugioh is and has been a fun pastime for me that provides a means of self-expression through creativity and a hobby for me to be occupied by. I try not to take this game too seriously, however, and I really try to have fun and enjoy as much of it as I can.

My specialties deck-wise are non-meta archetypal decks, such as Aliens and Cloudians (especially Aliens), and strategy-themed decks. If you would like help/advice about your deck, feel free to post it on my Talk page.

My Cards

As long as I have been playing, I have never tried to create a full collection of cards. I only had the cards for my deck and a small pile of others to trade. If I got bored with the deck I had at the moment, I would dismantle it and come up with my next deck idea. Then, I would trade off nearly any of the cards I had to obtain the cards I needed for the new deck; essentially meaning I could never have more than 1 deck at a time.

In the past, I would have even cycled through a deck a week, constantly changing the cards I had in an effort to keep up with my creativity; I would spend the week building the deck and on Saturdays I would test it out against other duelists at the store. Then, I would usually dismantle it and begin collecting the cards for my next deck idea. This repetition eventually helped me to learn a lot about deck making.

Likes:

As i said above, I like original, preferably non-meta decks that really test a person's skill as a duelist and deckbuilder. Examples of archetypes I like:

• Aliens/Venom

• Cloudians

• Normal Monsters that aren't [necessarily] Gemini (ok, not really an archetype)

• Ojamas/Mokey Mokey themes

• Crystal Beasts (to a degree)

• Attribute/Type decks

• Billy Decks (especially ones that work)

--essentially anything that requires effort, skill, or finesse to win; and, of course, is fun to play with

Dislikes:

• Meta decks

• Cookie Cutter

• Netdecking - have some originality!

• strangely enough, Anti-Meta decks - only purpose is to counter meta, so I think they really aren't much better; however, I do like them more than I like Meta decks

--anything designed to win easily, or any overpowered archetypes (meta)
