Forum:Machine Union Deck

An attempt at a seemingly creative idea. Designed to flow with Machina search power and use Frontline Base and Roll Out! to "swarm". I like how it is able to run both synchros and fusions, mainly due to the ease of summoning the fusions, as well as switch around the union monsters on my field. I'm trying to fit in Pot of Avarice and another Overload Fusion. I'm open and willing to change the cards in the deck, but not the deck's theme. Thank you for any help and/or suggestions you give!--SantaOrc26 (Talk) 16:32, April 21, 2011 (UTC)

I had a similar deck but it was more with the letter union monsters than machines in general. You should try and experiment with the letter union monsters. It add consistency to the deck since you have the fusion monsters as an option. If you are going to try out the deck with the letter union monsters then I would recommend addint Honest since most of them are light. You should add some counters in your deck.MU.S.IK=d^ ^b (talkcontribs) 00:26, April 22, 2011 (UTC)MU.S.IK=d^_^b

  • Thanks a lot for your input! I had originally made this deck as an XYZ Union deck, but I ended up modifying it into this one for a couple of reasons. 1) because the XYZ union monsters, when equipped, did not protect the "host" monster from being destroyed by card effects as well as by battle (which the newer union monsters do). 2) also, the XYZ fusion monsters, although powerful and useful, did not seem worth the cost of removing from play the material monsters when the fusion monsters themselves could easily and immediately be destroyed by a bottomless trap hole or divine wrath. I have frequently wanted to make XYZ decks because of their style and synergy, only to be disappointed with their mediocrity.
if you want, I would be glad to post my XYZ Union Decklist.--SantaOrc26 (Talk) 08:02, April 22, 2011 (UTC)

I know what you mean about the fusions not being worth removing from play all those union monsters. Just add Return from the Different Dimension. It's really good late game when most of them are removed from play. As for them not protecting each other when they're equipped to each other. Just fusion summon so you have targets for return. You can post your XYZ deck if you want. I just picked up my Union deck and I might post that as well. My Union deck is more based on abusing Frontline Base and just use that so I can synchro summon.18:22, April 22, 2011 (UTC)MU.S.IK=d^_^b

  • lol, that's what this deck is supposed to do; abuse Frontline Base for synchros! Haha, well, the whole thing about Return from the Diff Dimension is that I sort of traded off the XYZ monsters in order to better utilize Overload Fusion to summon Chimeratech Overdragon, which also removes from play a bunch of my monsters to do so. Plus, since I could also remove my machine tuners from play with Overload Fusion, when I special summon them with RFTDD, I can easily pull off synchro summons to keep the monsters from being removed at the end phase. By the way, what tuners and synchro monsters are you using in your deck? I'll be trying to remember my XYZ Decklist so that I can post it.--SantaOrc26 (Talk) 06:14, April 23, 2011 (UTC)

You can see my deck list here. It's ok, I guess. As for the extra deck it's a little complicated because I stopped playing yugioh for awhile so my brothers are using my synchro monsters, but I have one of each of the letter fusion monsters.MU.S.IK=d^ ^b (talkcontribs) 07:16, April 23, 2011 (UTC)MU.S.IK=d^_^b

Here's My Previous Build:

This deck had less capacity for synchro summons since it had fewer tuners and couldn't get out lv6 synchros. Smashings were added since faceup monsters are the only cards that the XY, XZ, and YZ fusions can't target with their effects. As you can see, I don't use a lot of counter trap cards, mainly since I have never owned a Dark Bribe, and I never really felt like I had room left after I put in my staple traps. Anywho, I switched into the other deck to change out of the difficult XYZ archetype and allow more synchro diversity due to more room in my extra deck.--SantaOrc26 (Talk) 18:23, April 23, 2011 (UTC)

2.0 - With Diff. Tuners and Synchros

-The deck runs nice and fast, and I guess I'm not used to the variety of fusion and synchro capabilities I have available. There are just SO many options for me to play, so I'm really interested to see how the deck runs when I've gotten used to it more. I'm trying hard to find at least 1 Genex Ally Axel, and I think it would be a perfect addition, since I can use it to continually sp. summon and reuse my tuners and unions from the graveyard. The only issue I have is that the most reliable level 4 machine tuner I could find was the underwhelming Top Runner. I am glad to explain the deck strategy or answer any questions about it. Could I get some rates and fixes on the deck and my choice of cards? Thanks.--SantaOrc26 (Talk) 02:29, April 30, 2011 (UTC)

Ok, the strategy here revolves around Frontline Base to provide an easy special summon of a union monster once per turn, and then the union monster can either be used to synchro or equip to my normal summoned machine for protection. The deck tends to have a Beatdown atmosphere early on, thanks to the Solidarities and monster protection of union monsters, but it has flexibility in that it can also instantly fusion summon Chimeratechs from Cyber Dragons, or synchro summon quickly using Frontline Base and/or Roll Out!'s.--SantaOrc26 (Talk) 21:16, April 30, 2011 (UTC)

Honestly, i dont like Armored Cybern. It's effect is good, but it's not really worth Cyber dragon's attack. What i find helpful, is having a DNA Surgery in my deck. This is because half of your deck only works if they equip to a machine monster. So zombie world or another DNA surgery would screw you, trust me. Plus you can combo a cyber dragon + dna surgery, turn your opponents face up monsters into machine, and offer THIER machines for the special summoning of Chimeratech Fortress Dragon. Plus, i do like Oilman a lot. With 3 peacekeepers, youll always have a union monster, so id take out a roll out for dna surgery. I dont even use roll out because my 2 beatsticks, cyber dragon and fortress dragon, can be special summoned so easily, then i can just normal syummon unions. id replace your 2 cyberns with oilman, and replace 1 roll out with a dna surgery. hope that helps. Instead of Oilman you could even add Heavy Mech Support Platform for more power, or you could stick in Oilman for Draw Power. Or 1 of both. There's also Bri Synchron, but he is kinda negative. --Dark Ace SP™ (Talk) 17:00, May 1, 2011 (UTC)

  • The main reason I run Armored Cybern is that it is a level 4 2k defender Union monster that I can special summon with Frontline Base or equip to Cyber Dragon using Roll Out! then special summon, and then synchro for higher level synchros by simply normal summoning a tuner. Also, its effect has been surprisingly useful, since I can just detach it afterwards and fusion summon a 2000+ Chimeratech Fortress Dragon, ignoring the atk drop.
  • Roll Out! equips union monsters that are in the graveyard to a monster on the field, so whenever one of my machine monsters like Machina Fortress would be destroyed or removed from the field, I could just activate roll out to reuse Machina Peacekeepers that are in my graveyard to protect the monster and/or continually maintain hand advantage with union monsters.
  • I would definitely at least side deck x2 DNA Surgerys for Zombie World/etc. decks, since the combo is pretty awesome, but without Cyber Dragon on the field the card is almost useless and takes up space for my Union monsters.

What I like about Oilman is, other than being so cool, that he can equip to any machine monster, unlike Armored Cybern, and thus is much more versatile. I don't know if I want to give up the handy monster removal that Cybern provides, though... I'll run the deck with oilman for a while and see if it works better. How is my Extra Deck? These are nearly all of the synchros that I own, but I tried to pick the best of what I had. Keep providing feedback, please! Thanks.--SantaOrc26 (Talk) 17:46, May 1, 2011 (UTC)
