My opponent has one monster on the field. I have a fusion monster on the field. If I attack with my fusion monster and destroy my opponents monster can I then activate defusion before the damage step to result in my opponents monster being destroyed then proceeding to attack with my special summoned monsters (IE 3 Blue Eyes?)
After attacking with your Fusion Monster, you are allowed to activate De-Fusion after the Damage Step. You can activate it before the Damage Step but since Damage Calculation (which is sub-step 4 of the Damage Step) never occurred, the opponent's monster wasn't attacked. It'd be a lot easier for all of us if you activated De-Fusion AFTER damage calculation. You can still attack with your fusion material monsters. --Drew-Gi-Oh! (talk) 18:30, August 20, 2010 (UTC)
