Dupe Frog's last effect does not meet any of the criteria for being able to activate during the Damage Step, but others have said that it can. Does anyone know of a ruling for him which states that it can (like Botanical Girl's ruling)?

- "When this card is sent from the field to the Graveyard, you can add 1 "Frog" monster except "Dupe Frog" or "Frog the Jam" from your Deck or Graveyard to your hand."
The above effect is a Trigger Effects. It can be activated during the during the Damage Step.-- HHTurtle (Talk) 02:29, July 17, 2010 (UTC)
- By "criteria", do you mean the stuff listed in Breakdown of the Battle Phase#Damage Step? That only refers to you manually activating cards. Trigger Effects activate automatically at the prescribed time, so they don't have to meet those criteria. (Even optional Trigger Effects activate automatically, as long as you want them to.) --Deus Ex Machina (Talk) 03:24, July 17, 2010 (UTC)
