To the poster: May I suggest that if any person brings input here with regards to the mystic piper build for an Exodia based deck, my suggestion is to pay no mind and pursue your build as you wish.(if you prefer) The piper build is almost certainly the most efficient/effective for meeting the forbidden one's win condition, but requires minimal effort in putting together, and when compared with using one's own deck building preference, is ultimately unsatisfying. (IMO) There are many different avenues to take when going for Exodia build, infusing a heavy draw engine is essential, but also a necessary defense must be included, perhaps try cards such as battle fader, threatening roar, etc. I would also suggest (as is my personal preference) to try using winged kuriboh/agent of creation venus & msbs + support cards, (cards from the sky/white elephants gift/flute of summoning kuriboh) all of which either thin your deck, provide defense, or draw through your deck. gold sarcophagus would be well put to use in setting aside the pieces of the forbidden one safely until the 2nd stand by phase when they return to your hand.

to be honest, an offensive exodia deck won't be nearly as effective as a stalling exodia deck. cards like Royal Magical Library can provide nice defensive stats and really help increase drawing power, but only if you play more spell cards, like Upstart Goblin, Pot of Duality, Card Destruction etc.

also, really helpful are cards that thin out your deck, like Toon Table of Contents. or you could only put in normal monsters and use Heart of the Underdog.

throw out cards like Skelengel (or what else is "skeletal"?) and Dark Mimic LV3, they are too slow to be effective.

Agreed on an offensive build, it is (mostly) contrary to the nature of the deck, and stalling has always been the path I have taken. ttoc and hotu can be of use, but are outdated (IMO) and there are different cards that can better cycle through the deck. (Royal Magic Library excluded/still effective in the right build) Another card to consider is of course Emissary of the Afterlife and/or Armageddon knight to dump pieces to the grave and retrievable per dark eruption or herald of faithful light. (if using aocv + msbs)

Learn to Decklist properly, JackBlankr. I see that your build is somewhat divided between your own draw power and usage of Appropriate. One quick question: Where's Dark Bribe and Upstart Goblin? --Gadjiltron (talkcontribs) 01:25, July 26, 2013 (UTC)

The Deck's also incomplete - you've only got 34 cards. --Gadjiltron (talkcontribs) 01:26, July 26, 2013 (UTC)

another card that can be really helpful is Goblin Circus. it can thin out your deck extremely fast.
