I have Substitoad n Sangan n Dupe Frog, I use Substitoad effect... first tribute Sangan n change with Swap Frog whose effect will miss the timing??? second tribute Dupe Frog n change with Swap Frog whose effect will miss timing??? Tq^^

"You can Tribute 1 monster to Special Summon 1 "Frog" monster from your Deck"

So Tributing is a cost.
Sangan is a Manditory Trigger, it will not miss timings.
Dupe Frog has an Optional Trigger effect. If the last thing to occur is not Dupe Frog going to the grave (i.e. used as a cost) it will Miss the Timing.
  • The Chains would look like this:
1)Substitoad (Tributes Sangan as Cost)

Resolve:

1) Subsitoad (Special Summons Swap Frog)

Sangan's Manditory Trigger Activates

1) Sangan

Resolve:

1) Sangan (Adds card to hand)
  • If you use Dupe Frog, then it'll be like this:
1)Substitoad (Tributes Dupe Frog as Cost)

Resolve:

1) Subsitoad (Special Summons Swap Frog)

Dupe Frog's Optional Trigger Effect Missed the Timing, you cannot Activate the effect. Falzar FZ 23:15, January 13, 2010 (UTC)

If I tribute sangan to spesial summon Swap frog....Is the Swap frog's effect which send 1 monster to grave miss the timing????

No, you don't miss the timing. After the Chain finishes resolving, the last thing to resolve is "Swap Frog" being Summoned, so its effect can be activated. If you choose to activate it, then the effects of "Swap Frog" and "Sangan" are both trying to activate at the same time, so both effects activate and they form a Chain according to SEGOC. --Deus Ex Machina (Talk) 00:40, January 15, 2010 (UTC)

If I tribute summon a "monarch" monster like "raiza the storm monarch" and tribute dupe frog , will dupe frog miss its timing ?— This unsigned comment was made by 62.1.124.207 (talkcontribs)

Dupe Frog will always miss the timing when tributed for a Cost, or for a Tribute Summon. -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 21:47, October 19, 2010 (UTC)

Even if he is tributed for a monster that doesn't have an effect? Isn't Dupe Frogs effect then possible to activate? Jens (talkcontribs) 17:55, October 22, 2010 (UTC)

nope. it's still missing the timing. Poseidome (talkcontribs) 18:58, October 22, 2010 (UTC)
