Hi there!! I was having a duel with a friend and I activated Future Fusion to summon the Five Headed Dragon!! After 2 turns I summoned the Dragon and my opponent activated Solemn Judgment to negate the Dragon's summon!! I said that Future Fusion has already been resolved 2 turns ago so Solemn can't negate!!! so my question is can Solemn Negate the Summon??????92.251.78.30 12:36, October 10, 2009 (UTC)Dragonlord31086

  • Returning the removed from play monster during the 2nd turn with Future Fusions's effect is not treated as a summon, so Solemn Judgment cannot be activated to negate the summon. ATEMVEGETA (Talk) 15:49, October 10, 2009 (UTC)

where did "Returning the removed from play monster" come from? that isn't what Future fusion does... it fusion summons during your 2nd standby phase after activation.Solemn should work --Helix-king 19:07, October 10, 2009 (UTC)

ATEMVEGETA, he said "Future Fusion", not "Future Visions".
"Solemn Judgment" cannot stop Summons by card effects. The Fusion Monster is being Summoned by a card effect, so "Solemn Judgment" cannot stop it.

Oups! I thought "Future Visions"! My bad! ATEMVEGETA (Talk) 20:35, October 10, 2009 (UTC)

so when the fusion arrives, it summons and you can not bottomless traphole it? because if solmen can't bottomless neither... or how does it work? what about solemn warning?

Don't post on a topic that has been Archived! That is considered rude and annoying. Just make new topics for new questions. Anyway, Bottomless can banish the monster after it has been summoned (Reason Judgment can't is because you let the original spell/trap resolve and special summon the monster on resolution). As for Warning, it has to negate Future Fusion, when Future is activated, and can't stop the monster itself. Or at least I think that's right. If I'm wrong, someone will correct me, or they will add on to what I said. ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 22:57, June 2, 2012 (UTC)
  • On Talk Pages and Forum Pages, it's a good practice to sign your posts. You can do that by adding four tildes (~~~~) to the end of your post and it will automatically create a signature for you when you click 'Publish'.

You activate Future Fusion and then its effect resolves fully when you choose the Fusion Monster to be summoned and send the Fusion Materials to the Graveyard. The monster would then be Fusion Summoned during the 2nd Standby Phase. The actual summoning of the monster occurs during the "resolution" of Future Fusion's Lingering Effect. Note the quotation marks because it isn't really resolving.

You cannot interrupt the resolution of any kind of effects. That is why you cannot activate Solemn Warning and Solemn Judgment to negate the summon.

Warning and Judgment must be activated and chained to the activation of Future Fusion. In this case, you are negating the activation of a Spell Card.

For Bottomless Trap Hole, you must wait for the monster to be successfully summoned, meaning the "resolution" of the Lingering Effect has ended. Then you activate in response to the summon.  HHTurtle Talk   14:11, June 3, 2012 (UTC)
