Forum:Gravekeeper Lightsworn combo deck

Im thinking of mixing keepers with lightsworns. but i have no idea where to start, some help would be much apreciated

Lightsworns need to use the Graveyard. Gravekeepers prevent you from using the Graveyard. Mixing them is stupid: Don't mix ideas unless they actually benefit from each other. Samurai Bruxo^{Discussão/Talk} 21:20, August 27, 2011 (UTC)

Gah, don't direct this to us, we don't want it either! Seriously though. Lightsworns and Gravekeeper's is a terrible hybrid. LS rely heavily on the Graveyard, which Gravekeeper's prevent the use of. It's a fairly bad idea, but I could probably work it... just max out on Stele & Rite(though it'd be a worse deck than pure GK :3)

Possible Deck

That's a start, anyway, of a Gravekeeper/Lightsworn deck somewhat focused on Xyz Summoning. Some fine tuning, and what you consider to be staples, may be required, but it could work. How well? Not sure. But if you can build it, it would be interesting to fight against, at the very least.

I suspect I'm doing something unrighteous here, but I'm not sure what.

Been testing out a version of this deck on the Dueling Network, and I gotta admit, ain't working out too bad. Added in Zenmeister, that way I can abuse Spy's effect. With all the Steles and Rites I got in there, the Self-Milling of the Lightsworns I have in there actually works out pretty good. Does away with much of the need for Royal Tribute (though I will admit, there's nothing quite like Royal Tributing, ticking off your opponent, then using Stele to negate any negative effects. Again, to me, that card is more of a personal choice based on your mannerisms and playstyle). I thought about putting Envoy in there, but with the frequency I get of having Necrovalley in play, I really don't want to run the risk of getting a dead draw. However, it could work a side-in, just in case your opponent's deck focuses more on Spell/Trap removal. Karkashan (talk • contribs) 20:00, August 28, 2011 (UTC)
