Forum:Help with Lady of D. effect

I have build a dragon deck and I have Lady of D. in it, but I have two questions regarding her effect "If this card on the field would be destroyed by battle or by a card effect, you can send 1 Dragon-Type monster from your hand to the Graveyard instead."

1- If Lady of D. is set and she's attacked, after being flipped face up, can I activate her effect to save her?

2- If she is attacked while in attack position, do I still receive the battle damage after I use her effect to stop the destruction?

1. It is face-up at that time, so you can apply it. Also, it is a Continuous Effect (It does not activate).
2. Yes; it won't be any different to cards like Spirit Reaper.

Just don't forget that "The Fabled Unicore" can tear her apart like as if she's just a book, depend on the hand number... Other than him, she can survive the battle. --iFredCat 11:11, May 20, 2012 (UTC)

Yes, I am aware of the Continuous Effect part - didn't you know that Unicore can stop "Super Polymerization" so why not this card? --iFredCat 11:50, May 20, 2012 (UTC)
